A friend of mine just called and said his 21 year old son was just arrested during a traffic stop for pot possesion. This is the third time this kid has been arrested in the last year. Just wondering how many people here have been arrested.

Feel free to describe your crime.

I was arrested once when I was 20 and in college for breaking out a restaurants sign with a brick..that stupid stunt cost me $500.00 to fix the damage, which was like 10K to me at the time and 40 hours community service picking up trash on highways on Sat and Sunday mornings.

2 in college and 1 prior. I was a knucklehead getting underage drinking and such.

Should have been arrested 10000 other times. Stupid kids.

 
Arrested once for a DUI in '94. Arrested once in the military but they couldn't prove anything so nothing came of it.

I was riding in a car with my roommate back to on base housing after our shift. He had borrowed the car from a friend when he was home because his had to go in the shop and he had to get back to base. They found an ancient pot seed and a bullet in the car after a bogus search at the gate. They couldn't prove I had anything to do with either. My idiot roommate admitted he had smoked pot since he had been in so they booked him and let me go. He lost stripes, pay and had to do a couple of weeks of time.
 
I used to steal cassette tapes and various other crap from Walmart, etc. when I was around 17-18. This went on for a while until I got caught. They took me to jail and I sat there for about 6 hours.

I was making arrangements with the bail bondsman to get myself out and feeling pretty relieved that my parents had out. Right about that moment my dad came walking in, apparently he had been looking for me for a few hours.

That was pretty much the end of my life of crime.

 
Junior year of HS a few friends and I decided to go to the graduating ceremony which was on the U of Arizona campus. After the event we stuck around campus, just kind of walking around. Just outside the McKale center pool we saw a couple of college students who said "hi" to us. Bored, we decided to hop the fence and just hang out in the pool area.

About 10mins later the campus police arrest us for trespassing. The 2 students were campus police volunteers on watch. Instead of saying "don't go in there or we'll notify police" they just watched us do it and called them. #######s.

 
44 charges over say around 12 years not including any juvie priors. My rap sheet is as tall as me. Mostly fighting and drunk related offenses, i also had a distribution charge and a recieving stolen property charge mixed in , not proud of it but i am proud that i turned my life around over the last 18 years. I have spent a lot of time working with kids at the boys club boxing programs talking to kids and trying to steer them in the right direction. I had one kid who said i was the reason he straightened out and went on to become a cop, that made me feel really good.

Given a ride to the station when my buddy was arrested and they had to impound the vehicle--driving on suspended license, car was out of registration, so I couldn't just drive it myself. So I at least got to make the, "Hi Dad, I'm in jail!" call.

 
Once.

When I was younger I would drive without insurance, license or registration regularly. I finally got caught and they hauled me in.

 
I was 19 at the time and under probation for driving with a suspended license. Took my bike to the grocery store and started chatting up a fine looking girl waiting outside. Thought she just got done with a cigarette so i didnt think to ask her her age. We hit it off and out on a few "dates".

Turned out her uncle was a prosecutor in my city and she was underage. FML.

Were you pretty lit up? I should have been nailed with a DUI about the same time, I only about 1/2 mile from my house when I got pulled over and the cop let me go..followed me right into my driveway. I kissed the ground in my garage. That would never happen in 2012.

Arrested a few times....never convicted.

Had an Iverson like incident my Senior year which got me banned from school activities (prom / baseball) ..thankfully it was after BBall season and didn't affect my scholarship .

I should have sued the school looking back since I was found innocent of everything .

 
1980- Minor in possession.

1984- Public Affray.

1984 (seven days later)- Public Affray.

1987- Assault. (Reduced to Public Affray).

I was a little raucous back in the day. :boxing:

 
Penn state homecoming weekend around 2003. I was 19 years old and we were all drunk off our asses causing #### on Beaver Ave. We did something stupid and were running out of the apt complex. I basically run right into the arms of a cop. He sees I'm underage and puts me in cuffs. When we walk outside there's a black dude running down the street punching a car and screaming like a madman. Cop looks at me and says: He's causing way more of a problem than you are and I only got one set of cuffs. Go to wherever the hell you're staying and I don't want to see you again.

A couple underages that were dropped to disorderly by the local boro police who didn't have much to do aside from bust young kids drinking.

Yeah I deserved to be charged. IIRC I blew a 1.2 . I should not have been on the road. What the heck for those interested here is the rest of the story. It was early into a separation from my wife and I hadn't decided if I really wanted to keep working on it. So I was out looking for an old acquaintance. She was gorgeous and liked being submissive in the boudoir. An intriguing combination for me. Anyway I went to a bar where she had been working and she wasn't there. No one knew where she was working now when I got there but they said some folks who knew her would be in soon. So I sat there and had a few drinks. I also ate a big steak sandwich but that wasn't enough to do the job I guess. So anyway her friends come in, we talk and I find out she is working another bar about 45 minutes away. So I decided to roll up there and see her. I get about halfway there and have a revelation that I am way too drunk to be driving and I need to get my butt off the road. So I come up on an exit where there are a couple of 24 hour fast food places and I think "OK I'll get off the road here. Park the car and call a cab. Come back in the morning for the car.". Good idea but too late. So just as I am pulling across the street I look to my left and there is a police cruiser, no blue lights, screaming down the road headed dead for me. It was a 35 zone he had to be doing every bit of 70. He had to put the car into the median to avoid the wreck. So I could have run I guess but instead I got out of my car and went over to check on the cop. He wasn't hurt really but the car was. Bad. So he arrested me and we waited for another cruiser to come. Everybody at the jail was super nice to me and in fact after I puked a couple of times I had a nice conversation group going with several deputies sitting outside my cell. Except for the being in jail part it was OK. Oh and steel beds without mattresses suck. Of course I had no one to call but my wife and she came through. So I decided working on it was worth it. Also to her credit she has never once brought it up or threw it in my face in any way. When I go to see the magistrate I expect there to be charges over the car. But there aren't. I find this weird. My lawyer found out the cop told his supervisor he was running fast with no lights so they decided not to press it. The cop also told the judge how polite I was and recommended some leniency. I got way less then the minimums I was told to expect. Way less. My driving privileges allowed me to drive all but two hours of the week. I paid roughly a 200.00 fine all totaled. I got off way easy. Still I basically stopped drinking at that point. Not completely but I can count the number of drinks I've had in the last several years on 1 hand. I have gone from being the guy who needed a DD to being the DD. So I took it seriously and treated it as a wake up call. I am just so glad no one was hurt.

somewhere around 10X, had a few assault charges that I was acquitted by jury. One that I plead down to Disturbing the Peace. Then other MIP's, DUI's, Pot charge, etc... all more than 8 years ago.

I'm now in education trying to help kids not make the same mistakes I did...

 
i was cuffed and harassed after being caught smoking weed in a parking structure outside the hoosier dome about 20 years ago, but the pigs elected to not arrest me. that's all i got.

4 or 5 times cuffed and stuffed. Most were 1 to 4 hour stays, did 14 days for a violation of probation when I was 18.

All but one arrest was for unpaid tickets resulting in bench warrants, the other was for posession of pot/MIP alcohol/obstruction (obstruction was for lying about who I was to avoid the MIP)

F-ing A right he was charged, that was underage poon he was tagging, I would be charged too.
 
Never. Not even close...well I got a speeding ticket when I was 16, and when I was 40 I got warned if I didn't appear for election duty I'd be charged with a misdemeanor. Fearing gang rape in the state pen, I decided to show up for election duty.
