Use a #1 wide receiver as an example -- in terms of statistics, does having a decent #2 and a solid tight end help or hurt the top receiver's production?
I've seen the argument made for it hurting him (less opportunity) and helping him (less coverage/attention). I can't really say which particular argument is used more; it seems even.
