HBO Hard Knocks 2014: Atlanta Falcons (1 Viewer)

I don't think Roddy White comes off good at all in this. Having a sense of humor is one thing but it's like all he does is clown around. Tough to imagine a jerry rice or Larry fitzgerald doing stuff like that in camp. I realize we're only seeing a few edited moments and he's a talented player but he doesn't come off like a "winner" to me.

:goodposting: trying to extract anything from this show is idiotic.

I would have loved to play with a teammate like Roddy. He is keeping it loose and he is a player! I have heard him on Sirius several times, seems like a cool dude. And don't let the clowning fool you, he was a two time state wrestling champion, so he is clearly a competitor. What more can you ask?

In my experience, wrestlers are the biggest clowns of all. Clearly competitive, though.

And without all the kissing and hugging and stuff that rugby dudes do.

I think that first sentence I made jives with the rest of what I said, brainiac.

Jim Harbaugh has never won #### at any level has he? Over rated as they come. He inherited a great team and never got them over the hump.
I  when I see people say this. A great team that never had a winning record and had not been to the playoffs in over a decade? And then goes to the NFC championship 3 years in a row? Hmm I wonder what changed there... could be that overrated coach. The niners got two 2nds for Alex Smith not because he's a great football player, but because Harbaugh is a great coach. Tell me that's not the case.

Gonna be interesting to see the reactions after Baker got injured. Hope we get to see the behind-the-scenes dialogue when they decided to move Jake Matthews to LT, even though it was really a no-brainer.

Team was expected to be very good under Singletary but he was a train wreck so they canned him. Are you saying the Chiefs paid two 2nd round picks for a player because he'd had good coaching in the past? That doesn't even make sense. It that was the case, why won't anyone trade for Mallet? Why didn't Matt Flynn pan out? Both had Super Bowl champions for coaches for several years.

If your coach has to keep telling you that you're a physical football team and not soft....you're soft.

Off topic, Harbaugh is a great coach.

Off topic. No he really isn't. He hasn't won anything ever, has he? Nobody cares who takes second place.
Ah, the old logic of they're not great unless they win superbowls. Peyton Manning hasn't been great in the past 8 years, Bellicheck hasn't been great in a decade, oh wait. If you win one then you're great forever right? Clearly Eli, Wilson, Flacco, and Big Ben are four of the great QBs of the past decade and Tom Coughlin is the 2nd best coach currently in the league, those Giants sure look tough. <_<

Who did Chuck Knoll beat in the Super Bowl? Remember who Gibbs beat when he had Doug Williams? Who did the Raiders beat? Nobody cares....that's who.

I can't find the "bad posting" smiley. Hold on a minute, I'll see if Don Coryell or Bud Grant knows where it is.

The guys who lost most of those SB's are like a murderer's row of coaches. There are probably twenty coaches who never won a SB who were better coaches than Ditka. Or Gruden.

Save your keystrokes. He's an irrational Harbaugh-hater. He's an excellent coach whom I'd kill to have leading the Raiders.

You don't believe this, right? This is an act?

Man, J.J. Watt is as good as it gets. A beast on the field, a charitable guy who is great to kids off the field.

The league needs more dudes like him.

As a Redskins fan, I'm not looking forward to seeing Watt and Clowney line up against us in Week 1. Those are 2 bad dudes.

In the practice with the Texans, Watt would have been called for illegal hands to the face every time in a real game. The guys a monster, but I'm sure he wanted to send a message to the rook.

Loved how Tice handled that during the game, paraphrasing but it was something like "Next week you're the LT. Wrap your mind around that"

Can't wait to see the internal reviews of Jake's first start at LT after they watch the film. He had a couple more penalties (a hold and a false start, IIRC), but it looked like he was very solid.

Reminded me of that coach that screamed "I'm 40! I'm a man!"

Coaches be trippin.

Smith needs to do some of that ### chewing not leave it to the assistants.

The rant at the beginning by the special team coach was ridiculous. Almost embarrassing for him, not the players. He wasnt coaching them, he was saying "I'm better than you, I'm a man listen, to what I say."

What was even funnier is Robiskie saying he was gonna get into the "pretty two WRs." Then it cuts to him doing nothing an White making plays. lol

Yeah, Smith is coming off as a pretty terrible coach. I'm sure it's the edits.
Smitty seems passive, didn't even get on the guy that got thrown out. His tony g speech reminded me of a second grade teacher, maybe his audience.
