Headed to Denver Valentine's Day weekend. (1 Viewer)

I know it's short notice... we have our flight... staying at the Four Seasons... but where to eat? Looking for the best places we can get reservations, especially for Valentine's Day dinner. After that, looking for 420-friendly places to light up legally.

What say ye?

Trying to explain to my wife that in some states, like CO, it's legal and tolerated. In other states like MA, you need the medical certification and they have a stick up their ### about certifying... other states.. totally illegal. She threw her hands up in the air, saying "it's ridiculous". I couldn't agree more.

Go to the Briarwood Inn in Golden or the Palace Arms at the Brown Palace for dinner. The shops are all over downtown, just ask someone

The whole weed tourism thing is pretty interesting. Have to think all the states besides the South Carolina's of the world are going to legalize. Too much money to be made.

You going to drink Mad Dog 20/20 while you're there?

I have no idea what Valentine's Day availability will be at these places, but here are some good options to look into:

Fruition

Rioja

Euclid Hall

Elway's

Cholon Bistro

Sushi Den

Panzano

Palace Arms

Trillium

Thanks guys... I'm doing the research. Thanks for the tip on Palace Arms... that's more our style, and I'm sure we'll hit that one one of the nights we're there. Most of the others are already booked solid for Valentine's Day... I have tentatively booked a 5:15pm dinner at Edge at the Four Seasons... there is still a 5:30 time slot available at Palace Arms, Luckily, my wife prefers to eat early... I prefer to eat closer to 7:00pm, but anything that takes reservations and is any good is already booked for the prime time. And this is kind of an impromptu trip.. just decided we needed to get away, just the two of us, for a long weekend.

Next question.... I contacted an outfit called Colorado Highlife about a private tour... I want to keep everything legal, and I really have no idea where we can smoke, except I know it needs to be on private property. About the only reason I would spend money on a private tour would be for them to educate me on where to smoke or to provide such a venue themselves. But they're quoting $125 to $175 per hour for a private tour.... considering my goals, that seems awfully steep.

Normally I would just rent a car, wherever I go, but I don't want to be driving around high like I used to do in college... today I have too much to lose. When I was 20 years old, not so much. I don't mind walking to wherever we can go smoke... but what options are available besides paying out the ### for a tour like that?

I can see things have changed a lot since I was in college... they have vaporizers to discreetly consume?? Is that right? I've heard of e-cigs, but never imagined they had the same deal with weed vaporizers?

Have the tentative restaurant itinerary set for dinner... it will change, as I have Elway's in twice. But there are considerations.... as for Asian/Chinese... my wife is a personal chef. I have yet to find a mainstream restaurant that beats her cooking. And Italian... Boston has tons and tons of really good Italian restaurants. And lots of good French ones, too. But for steakhouses? Boston is somewhat lacking. So here's the deal... subject to change....

Are you going to let the mrs drive around in the mountains?
We will have limo service, one way or the other. Even I won't be driving. If I were still a 20 year-old college kid tripping on LSD... sure, no problem. But these days I have too much to lose. I'll hire a driver to show us around.

I would recommend purchasing a portable vaporizer on your trip. It will alleviate any concerns you might have about finding a place to smoke. With a portable vaporizer, you can discretely consume marijuana in your hotel room without worrying about any issues related to smoke. You could even use it in your limo service or in public without issue. There is a wide range of models/prices for portable vaporizers, which range from disposable hash pens that cost about $30 at a dispensary to fancier vape pens that can vape dry herb that can run you over $200. I certainly wouldn't worry about purchasing any sort of marijuana tourism package just to find a suitable location to smoke. A portable vaporizer would give you everything you would need to discreetly consume marijuana during your visit.

Big help, Buckfest, big help!! When I last smoked, a vaporizer was something my mother put Vic's vapo-rub in at night to stink up the room so I could sleep. These new-fangled vaporizers are totally new to me. Luckily, price is not really a factor... convenience is a HUGE factor. Thanks so much!!

Found a B&B that is nice and 420-friendly. Spoke to the lady... no smoking inside, but she's cool with toking outside. And it's a nice place, and about half the price of the Four Seasons. It'll be good.

Nice! I recommend getting a local rental like that over a national hotel chain for marijuana tourism, just so you don't have to worry about stricter corporate "no smoking" regulations.

Try ChoLon for Asian - it is one of the best in Denver. Ask for a seat at the kitchen and ask Chef Lon questions - he loves to talk to his patrons.
