I heard a rumor this morning that Bly had been traded to Washington (or atleast it is in the writing phase) from Denver and they will be swapping first rounders.

Anyone know if this is legit?

If it is, Dan Snyder is a total moron. Why give up the # 6 pick (?) for an aging, on the decline, average CB?

No link. Had a co-worker mentioning it. He said he read it in the KCStar newspaper or something.

No way. That trade makes NO sense. Washington wants to trade down, but they want to trade down for MORE picks. Bly would be nice, but he's not worth all that.

This rumor was reported in here a few days ago.

If this has any truth, I doubt this is the extent of the deal. Talks with Denver and Detroit (I think) about trading Springs before FA involved some help paying the cap hit the 'Skins would get in trading Springs. And if the 'Skins trade down, they'll want more picks than just a swap of 1st rounders.

This Broncos fan is hoping that this trade goes through, and then Denver turns around and swaps the #6 overall and their 2nd rounder for a pair of mid-first rounders, grabbing Reggie Nelson and one of the DE prospects.

Nothing.If AD happens to last till Denver at #6, somebody will want to trade up and Denver would probably trade back down.BTW, their GM came out yesterday and said the rumors of them shopping Bly or talking about trading him were bogus.Having said that though, he said the same thing about lelie about a week before he was traded.

Denver didn't have the ammo to move up and acquire Cutler last season... until they acquired the ammo to move up and acquire Cutler.If Denver had the #6 pick, they could easily set a price, and if a team really wanted that pick they'd trade with someone else until they could meet the price. That's what Denver did last year- it wanted to move up, and it knew it didn't have the ammo, so it made a series of trades to acquire the ammo.
