Hell FROZE over today... (1 Viewer)

Whether it's going to show in the won-lost column remains to be seen but there's no doubt that Denny Green is building an exciting team. This team should play in some barnburners this year.

yup.. i'm excited to see how they do this year, and i'm out here in buccaneer country..

How many season tickets did they actually sell?

I have a hard time believeing they sold ~60,000 season tickets.

 Stadium holds 63000 however can be expanded to 73000 for larger events. The site says that they held back 5% for single game tickets. That means that they must have sold just shy of 60,000 season seats. If you take into account some suite tickets it means at the very least they sold well over 55K anyway.

That's what happens when you actually try to put a competitive team on the field. Good to see the fans responding....

I'm in too. I got a pair of 4th row seats in the lower level (corner though) and last year was only my first year as a season ticket holder.

It is the strangest thing to me that the only game I'm interested in seeing the Vikings play live this year is when the Cardinals come to town.

Hard not to get excited about watching a team with Boldin/Fitz/James/a QB to be named later but most likely Warner.

Edit: I should have looked at the non-divisional games more closely. The Vikings actually have a very fun schedule - Carolina, New England, Arizona, Jets, St. Louis. About the only one I'm not interested in at all is the Jets.

Come on Andy, dont forget the Lions game.... :X

What do tix cost there? If they play to their potential this year (which is "good" to me), those tickets could be the best value in the league.

Congrats to Ariz homers. I hate seeing 3/4 full stadiums.

I wonder what % of the sales have went to brokers, scalpers and the like. I considered buying an extra pair just because there will be a whole lot of hoopla for the new stadium. I thought it would be plausible that I would at least break even. Then after realizing I'm usually late to the party, I assumed there were likely a ton of other people who planned on doing this same thing and I backed down.

I think the Bidwell's just needed a little bit of time to acclimate to the league and get used to the idea that they should compete. You should not rush them.

We are upper level, row 11 (on the aisle) at the 28 yard line and they are 55 bucks per game.

I'm in that same pricing tier. Just got a bill for the remainder due today--seems like I just put my deposit down yesterday. Not sure if you've received your bill yet, but apparently this year, you can transfer tix via email using the Ticketmaster forwarding function. I think I'll just transfer them to myself and keep the original tickets as a souvenir.I also like the $85 "facility use fee".
