Help - Keepers Newbie (1 Viewer)

Asking for sharks help here. Playing redraft for about 10 years. Now I've inherited a keepers team. The fact that it plays IDP doesn't help me at all. This is the actual team. After that I'll ask some...
Start: QB, 2RB, 2 WR, 1TE, 1 R/W/T, K, 3DB, 3DL, 3LB
QB: Brees, Rivers
RB: Latavius Murray, CJ Anderson, Kenyan Drake, Tim Hightower, Ronnie Hillman, Javorius Allen
WR: AJ Green, Willie Snead, Cole Beasley, Jeremy Kerley, Will Fuller, Deonte Thompson, Martavis Bryant
TE: CJ Fiedorowicz, Vance McDonald, Dion Sims
K: Josh Lambo, Dustin Hopkins
DB: Johnathan Cyprien, Daryl Worley, Robert Alford, Marcus Cooper, Jason McCourty
DL: Akiem Hicks, Sheldon Rankins, Shaq Lawson, Clinton McDonald
LB: Mark Barron, Bruce Irvin, Ramik Wilson, Dee Ford, Anthony Barr

I have 34 / 35 players roster (I've already cut RG3). I can keep up to 26... Scoring: 6 pt pass TD, non-PPR... and I think it favours IDP a lot (0.5 ### TCK, 1 pt solo TCK, 5 pt INT, 4 pt SCK, 3 pt Fum Forced, 2 pt Fum Rec, 4 pt Safety, 4 pt Kick Block)

What are the next moves? Who is worth keeping or sell-high? Whose type of player do I look for?

First, let me say you need quite a bit of help as you don't have a strength for the future.  I would be looking to start over and obtain as many picks and 2-3yr players that you belive in as possible.  Players changing roles or situations that you believe will take a leap.  Guys you can get relatively cheap because they haven't taken the step yet.  If you can keep 26 players I would go with the following:

QB: Brees, Rivers (Keep both for now because they are serviceable but you need to start to look at getting younger.  I would look to trade Brees to a contending team that needs an upgrade at QB.  He should get you a nice return at some point this year.  You can manage with Rivers but you may want to look to move him later in the season for youth).

RB: Latavius Murray, CJ Anderson, Kenyan Drake, Tim Hightower, Ronnie Hillman, Javorius Allen  (Need a lot of help here as you don't have any for sure situations.  I wouldn't press to make this a priority as RB's come and go in dynasty.  Build through the draft if possible and work waiver wire to fill in so you are serviceable this year).

WR: AJ Green, Willie Snead, Cole Beasley, Jeremy Kerley, Will Fuller, Deonte Thompson, Martavis Bryant (I would say this is your strongest position.  You may want to shop AJ Green to maximize value  and look to get some top picks for him.  He is your best trading asset.  Since your team is a ways off I would look to move him to the highest bidder to get as many future assets as possible.

TE: CJ Fiedorowicz, Vance McDonald, Dion Sims  (you need help here but I wouldn't make it a priority.  Mix and match on the waiver wire to be serviceable and be patient.  You should be able to improve over time.)

K: Josh Lambo, Dustin Hopkins (you don't need any kickers at this point so I would save your roster spaces for real positions)

DB: Johnathan Cyprien, Daryl Worley, Robert Alford, Marcus Cooper, Jason McCourty   (DB's are easy to find on the waiver wire.  There are always DB's that come out of nowhere to be serviceable players.  No need to take up valuable roster space on these guys)

DL: Akiem Hicks, Sheldon Rankins, Shaq Lawson, Clinton McDonald  (You don't have any impact DL and if you aren't required to play DT then McDonald could be cut too.  None of these are must keep players although Rankins has potential - but it loses some if you don't need to play DT)

LB: Mark Barron, Bruce Irvin, Ramik Wilson, Dee Ford, Anthony Barr  (You need to look for a primary tackle LB.  Most of these guys are big play guys which is ok but since your scoring is a border line big play scoring league you have too many of them.  Irvin, Ford, & Barr get most of their points via big play (sack).  Barron is a solid tackle guy but you need help here)
