Help me win $5000 in this month's salary cap contest (1 Viewer)

There's already a thread in the FFA about the site and the stock market aspects of the site.

But they also host a monthly $10K salary cap contest (5k to the winner).

I have been steadily rising thru the standings and I am currently in 6th place.

There are 17 periodsthis month, about half of them one day, the remainder 2 days. For each of those periods, I need the best two SPs I can afford, using this format:

IP Innings Pitched 7.5

W Wins 20

L Losses -6.5

S Saves 15

K Strikeouts 1.85

HA Hit Allowed -3

BB Walks Issued -1.66

ER Earned Run -6

I post my options each period, and I'd appreciate if I could get a little feedback on them. Best I can tell there are 300-600 people entered in this, but at this point, I reckon only 30-50 od us have a chance at the money ($5K first, $10K total)

Ohlendorf is only .5? I might take that chance. Baker and Galarraga seem like good buys and of course Lowe is pretty safe.

Agree on Ohlendorf being a great value, and as far as an investment, he appears to be the best deal. But for winning the contest... still unsure if he and Ianetta > Lowe and Saltalmacchia. This is for Wed. only..Ohlendorf did have a great spring and the Astros cannot seem to hit so far. While Florida has looked very strong (Lowes opponent).

Wow- great game by Galarraga- he was definitely who I should ahve picked.I did Lowe instead, and he had a rocky start sofar, but seems to be calming down.Ohlendorf has given up 4 runs already v. Houston

I need to start 2. Joba is #1 by a long way. We are only discussing who should be #2

I am up to 5th overall. Not a good day Wed., but it was even worse for the teams ahead of me in the standings. I am now about 100 points out of first, with six matchups in the books and 11 to go.

Yesterday Joba was great and was burned by not getting the W, which have netted me another 20 points. Lowe was mediocre at best with a career high 5 BBs. But at least he did not get saddled with an L, (-6).

Pretty sure I'll go with Joba and Penny for this match, but Liriano is very tempting. I just wish he wasn't against Halladay. But then again, maybe the tough matchup would get him rolling.

I don't think I would touch Liriano until Mauer comes back to catch, and the fact that Halladay could very easily blank the Twins makes this an even easier decision.

Guthrie has been very hittable this year and Boston has so many guys that can get on base to drive in.

Bad pitching choices knocked me down to 12 th place overall, but fellow FBG Brady Wins it all propelled to 14th.

Joba and Penny cost em big time and my batters were no great shakes.

I hope to rebound Saturday with Greinke and Josh Johnson... and a bit of a shakeup in my battery

Finished 11th overall. Had a couple of poor pitching performances that sunk me. THe scoring system can give negative points and two blown up pitchers knocked me out.THey are having weekly contests now (1500$) and I am in 5th this week with a bullet.
