...my team has not been performing like I had hoped. I think i desperately need pitching help, though my hitters havent been living to expectations either. Scoring for hitters is 1pt single 2 pt double etc, 1 pt run, 1 pt rbi, 1 pt bb, 2 pts sb. Scoring for pitchers is -.5 walk or hit, -1 ER, 2 pts INN, 1pt K, 10 pt save, 10 pt Win.

OF: Vlad, Jason Bay, Torri Hunter (Nick Markakis, Sammy Sosa)

My pitchers are (start 7 - whatever combo of SP and RP)

Roy Oswalt, Roger Clemens, Mark Buhrle, Daniel Cabrera, Jose Contreras, Freddy Garcia, Gil Meche, Al Reyes, Homer Baily, Brad Lidge, Brandon Looper, Huston Street

Basically, while some hitters are struggling, my pitchers are horrible. I dont want to trade just to trade, but I think i can get rid of one of my OF and start Markakis. A guy in my league has been showing alot of interest in VLAD. His pitchers are Beckett, Webb, Willis, Blanton, Carmona, Garland, Jenks, Durbin and Joe Kennedy. The only place offensively he is hurting is in the OF though his third baseman (chipper jones) is on the DL. Would you guys offer him somthing up? He says he can only trade one of his good SP. Who would you target, and is it even worht trading Vlad?

Well, assuming your starting your backup at 3rd, your pitching does leave a lot to be desired. Maybe if you ask the other owner what he wants for a top of the rotation pitcher you can move forward.

But if it were me, I'd start talking to him about all my outfielders to gauge interest and set value.

Consider moving Bailey with lower tier OF in the same trade to get him to let go of a difference maker. Usually better to sell a guy when the hype is huge but no results are in.
