Help with DTBC Article (1 Viewer)

I've used the Defensive Team By Committee approach for many years, following the Stuart articles. Normally I can get the two recommended defenses, but when I can't, how should I use the information to choose which defense to play? For example, this year's article says to get Pittsburgh and one of 5 other defenses. But rightly says that Pittsburgh might not be available, and then recommends two other teams. Which is fine. But in my draft Pittsburgh dropped pretty far and I snagged them.

So which weeks do I play Pittsburgh and which weeks do I play the other defense? While the article gives the full combination table, it doesn't give the table on a weekly basis. It would be way too much data to put on a web page, but maybe a downloadable spreadsheet or something?

Or maybe I can do it myself from the data in the article, but I'm not really sure how.

Who did you pair with Pittsburgh. I just took some of their suggestions on who to pair with Denver and hashed out the schedules side by side. Came up with the Rams. Here is what the combined schedule looks like:

Arizona

at Giants

Raiders

Eagles

Jax

Jax

at Panthers

Redskins

Tennessee

at Chargers

Chiefs

Chicago

at Chiefs

Titans

Chargers

Tampa

Oops, went away for Labor Day and forgot I posted this.

I haven't paired Pittsburgh up yet, but will do so after week 1. Probably the Bills, which was recommended by the article. But how do you use the information in the article to determine the schedule? I'm not sure how to plug in numbers.

If you want to do it how Chase did, you go through the defense's schedule, and for each game give them a point total equal what the opponent's offense shows up in that first chart, minus an extra 3 for your defense being at home, or +3 for your defense being on the road. Then choose your defense of the two (or three) that has the lower point total.

Though as results come in you'd want to be modifying that for actual results as some teams will do better or worse than expected.
