Help with my keepers (1 Viewer)

I have 15 "dollars" to spend on any combo of the following - players value goes up 2 dollars every year they are kept so Miggy will be unkeepable at 11 NEXT year

3rd pick in the draft, H2H, standard 5 x 5

Miguel Cabrera 9

Pedro Alvarez 1

Robbie Cano 5

Desmond Jennings 2

Starlin Castro 1

Geovany Soto 3

Mike Stanton 1

Hellickson 1

Lackey 4

Kershaw 4

Joe Nathan 1

My possible thoughts were:

Miggy, Cano, Hellickson

or

Miggy, Jennings, Kershaw

Thoughts?

I like the first set up better - 2 first round values

One train of thought would be to throw Miggy back and redraft him where his value would reset back to 5 dollars to keep but he may not be there at 3

It really depends on how your league assigns the dollar values. If Alvarez, Stanton, Hellickson, etc. are underpriced vs. their 2011 and 2012 redraft values , it might be better to load up on cheap keepers and drop Cabrera.

Yeah, this.I'd probably keep some combo of Miggy, Cano, Stanton, Kershaw. If you think you can get Miggy back at a better price later, keep the other three.

This is what I'd do. Miggy's alcohol issues are a red flag and may scare off enough people that you can get him back at 1.03. Lackey sucks these days. Soto is not worth that in a mixed league. Jennings will start the year in AAA. Everyone else is a good value.

This sounds an awful lot like my league

Yeah GB - you know me. You gave the rule set to one of my not so private aliases a few years back. :loco:

I'd need a lot more info to make a final decision but my initial thoughts are Miggy, Cano, and Alvarez or Stanton. I lean Alvarez because of how thin 3B is.

Curious that no one asked the one question that would clarify answers on this.........How many teams in the league?
12 Teamer -chance of getting Cabrera back at third in the draft is slim. Pujols and Hanley will be kept and he's one of the next few options. This will, however, be the last year I can keep him. It's possible I get Cano back at 3rd overall but not sure I want to risk it. I could replace him with Kershaw/Alvarez or Stanton and hope to get him back 3rd overall.

You shouldn't risk it in a shallow league like that - Keep Cabrera, Cano and whichever player you like the best of the rest
