Shame. St. Louis is a great sports city.Hooray, NFL billionaires just screwed over another city who didn't pony up enough money to suit them!

This would make some sense if the LA Rams weren't behind the Lakers and Dodgers in LA.I honestly get the frustration for the Rams owners having lived in Missouri my whole life and in the St. Louis area for about 7 years.
St. Louis is a baseball city first and foremost. And the support for the Blues is pretty great as well. For an NFL team to be the third banana in their own city among the core sports fans is tough. Also, the majority of the NFL fans in Missouri are Chiefs fans. I'm sure the Illinois side leans to the Bears and there just isn't a lot of extended fan base for them.
The lakers arent going to be good again any time soon. Might be good time to swoop in and claim some of the market. This would make some sense if the LA Rams weren't behind the Lakers and Dodgers in LA.I honestly get the frustration for the Rams owners having lived in Missouri my whole life and in the St. Louis area for about 7 years.

Don't forget that San Diego is also getting screwed by a billionaire real estate developer who couldn't get the city to pay for the new stadium he wanted, in the location he wanted. They were only willing to contribute the public land and $200 million.Hooray, NFL billionaires just screwed overanother citytwo other cities who didn't pony up enough money to suit them!
We're talking 560,000 tickets for 8 regular season home games for each team. When you factor in the number of tourists that come here and the ideal location of the stadium near the airport and hotels I don't see that amount being difficult to sell. This would make some sense if the LA Rams weren't behind the Lakers and Dodgers in LA.I honestly get the frustration for the Rams owners having lived in Missouri my whole life and in the St. Louis area for about 7 years.

I feel the worst for San Diego, they don't deserve this. When I first moved to L.A. I hoped the Chargers would move here but after going to a bunch of Chargers games I realized the fans really love the team. Sucks for them.Feel badly for the fans in St. Louis and San Diego. I hope both of these teams fail in LA, which really doesn't care about having a team and the transplants would rather just get the best games on TV without local blackouts.

Well if you have me on ignore you won't read this either but I have no idea what you're talking about. All I did in the first post was mention some of the great Los Angeles Rams of the past and that they would be happy that there would be a Los Angeles Rams team again, whatever the circumstances. Though I was never a Rams fan myself, my family was, especially my brother who passed this year, and I was being a bit nostalgic, thinking about him and the players he loved to cheer for. So hopefully someone will reply to this and then you can read it and go #### yourself.I have Tim on ignore so didn't read the first post until someone quoted it. What a stupid thing to say. Many of the players on the Rams team that left Anaheim were vocal about how much they hated ownership for moving and betraying their fans.
Players don't support billionaire owners screwing the fan base to make more money.

But they did get past the Cowboys in the '79 NFC championship game.I was actually thinking about the LA Rams on Sunday when they trotted out Bud Grant before the Minnesota game and the freezing cold weather.
Because, and I know old timer Rams fans will remember this well, the Chuck Knox Rams teams of the mid 70s always had a good record and made the playoffs, only to see their season end in the playoffs in the cold of Minnesota. They never could get past those Vikings teams.
With Ray Malavasi and Vince Ferragamo. It's a bit warmer in Dallas. And that team almost beat the Steelers in the SB. They came damn close. But they did get past the Cowboys in the '79 NFC championship game.I was actually thinking about the LA Rams on Sunday when they trotted out Bud Grant before the Minnesota game and the freezing cold weather.

In 2002 the Phillies tried to sign Rolen to a long-term contract and he turned them down flat. He was desperate to leave Philadelphia and when he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals, he actually said he was going to "Baseball Heaven."

The last thing the people of Inglewood want it billions of dollars spent on building a stadium and the tourism. They'd rather have the entire area where the stadium is just dirt with a tarp around it like it is now.If the people of Inglewood voted on building this new stadium, more power to them.![]()
Oh wait.
Cute, but it ain't no Superbowl Shuffle. :GOBEARS!!:
Since 2011, the St. Louis Cardinals have more playoff wins (32) than St. Louis Rams have regular season wins (29).

Then maybe the Rams should change their name to the Hillarys and use Tim's avatar on their helmets. Might fire them up enough to propel the team to the next Super Bowl. You've become angrier and meaner since you changed your avatar. Tim, this thread is not about celebrating ancient memories of pro football, it has instead become a vehicle for excoriating ultra-rich owners. You are way behind the times on this issue.Well if you have me on ignore you won't read this either but I have no idea what you're talking about. If the team sucks as bad in LA as it has for nearly its entire existence in StL, we'll get to see if that's true.Yeah, but 3rd in LA is a whole lot better than 3rd in St. Louis. This would make some sense if the LA Rams weren't behind the Lakers and Dodgers in LA.I honestly get the frustration for the Rams owners having lived in Missouri my whole life and in the St. Louis area for about 7 years.

The first NFL game I ever remember watching was Rams-Vikings playing in the mud. 7 year old me, probably thought that was the greatest thing ever.I was actually thinking about the LA Rams on Sunday when they trotted out Bud Grant before the Minnesota game and the freezing cold weather.
