Thanks for the constructive feedback. On the other hand:-He's 30 years old-Seattle's offensive line is no where near what it used to be-Mack Strong is no longer a good FBAlthough that may just be the crack talking.Shaun Alexander at 28, you are smoking crack. He will still be a top 6 RB for at 2-3 years.
So you're telling me in a 12 team league, I can pick up Alexander in the 3rd round??? Can you please send me an invite into one or all of your fantasy leagues pleaseThanks for the constructive feedback. On the other hand:-He's 30 years old-Seattle's offensive line is no where near what it used to be-Mack Strong is no longer a good FBAlthough that may just be the crack talking.Shaun Alexander at 28, you are smoking crack. That's a great comeback. I can't believe no one has ever said that before on a message board. So you're telling me in a 12 team league, I can pick up Alexander in the 3rd round??? Can you please send me an invite into one or all of your fantasy leagues please
I'd have to think on these, but Olsen seems high. They won't get added to the DB until after the draft. Here's a prelim rank of some of the top guys:Russell QB15-17Quinn QB17-19Peterson RB11-14Lynch RB20-25Calvin WR12-15Olsen TE12-15
The quarterbacks seem a little higher than I would put them but not outlandish. The rookies whose rank I am most interested in are the tier of receivers after Calvin Johnson. With all the talk of how historically great this WR class is I really struggled with where to place guys like Bowe, Meachem, and Jarrett.I'd have to think on these, but Olsen seems high. They won't get added to the DB until after the draft. Here's a prelim rank of some of the top guys:Russell QB15-17Quinn QB17-19Peterson RB11-14Lynch RB20-25Calvin WR12-15Olsen TE12-15
I agree on SA (DY-NA-STY) and I like the rankingsThat's a great comeback. I can't believe no one has ever said that before on a message board. So you're telling me in a 12 team league, I can pick up Alexander in the 3rd round??? Can you please send me an invite into one or all of your fantasy leagues pleaseThe guy finished 28th overall last year and is another year older. In 2-3 years from now (when you think he will still be a top six player) he will be 32 - 33 years old. With the type of carries he has had in his career I don't expect a slow decline for him. At some point Shaun Alexander is going to fall off the face of the earth. If you draft him in the first two rounds that will leave a huge hole in your lineup. In an initial dynasty I really don't want to take a player with such a high risk factor to be one of my top two or three players. His spot on my ranking basically amounts to a Do Not Draft designator. I just don't think he is worth the risk.
It's very similar to my thinking on Alexander. It basically amounts to a Do Not Draft designator. His risk factor is way too high for me. With Owens it is less about age than about mental illness. I'm not throwing that term around on accident either. Whereas most people think Owens is a jackass I truly believe he has a mental illness that is going untreated.Harrison on the other hand represents the exact opposite. His ranking is almost a Must Draft designator. I think he will have 1-2 more top 12 seasons and then either retire or start a slow decline. He can be drafted much later than Alexander and at that point he is on the good side of the risk/reward line.I agree on SA (DY-NA-STY) and I like the rankingsThat's a great comeback. , but why so down on Owens ? Harrision is no spring chicken either but is ranked about 20 spots higher. I'd rather have Palmer than any of RBs right ahead of him, but maybe thats just me. Good job
I wouldn't be surprised if you see a few guys target both of them back to back picks at the end of the 1st.
He went at 2.9 in a recent dynasty startup I was in. I happily passed on him twice. Our league is full but I would not invite you to join anyway because I am terribly frightened of your vast fantasy football acumen. So you're telling me in a 12 team league, I can pick up Alexander in the 3rd round??? I agree although I could see taking a shot with AD at or near the turn. Big gamble but if he's anywhere near as good as some speculate that's a steal.I like the rankings, I am a big fan of Evans too. Although I like Roy a bit more and sise by side, I think I take AJ before Evans as well.I like Benson a little higher. It's a gamble, but if he pans out he'll be a steal toI wouldn't be surprised if you see a few guys target both of them back to back picks at the end of the 1st.I assume you are talking about Peterson and Calvin Johnson. Is that correct? If so, that seems very risky to me. I certainly wouldn't mind having both of those guys on my team but not as my top two players.
On Evans.I put quite a bit of thought into his ranking and made a conscious decision to rank him ahead of Roy Williams and Andre Johnson. Roy and AJ are both taller and stronger but Evans is crazy fast and quick. Roy and Lee Evans were drafted in the same year and Lee Evans has finished ranked ahead of Williams every year.I agree although I could see taking a shot with AD at or near the turn. Big gamble but if he's anywhere near as good as some speculate that's a steal.

Overall, really nice rankings. I like the Calvin and Harrison slots next to each other. I have seen a fairly even split of opinions on whether Harriosn is worth the 1.2 pick. Depends on the team, win now or rebuild etc. but the rankings captured that well.
nice work. I enjoyed it, thanks. I'll be back to look at it a little more later.
Last year in a new dynasty draft I was in someone drafted Reggie Bush at 6, I thought it was nuts, but I guess not. Around 6-8 were guys lke Lamont Jordan, and Edge. Right now CJ, and AP are much greater than those guys in my book.He went at 2.9 in a recent dynasty startup I was in. I happily passed on him twice. 28th overall sounds about right.Shaun Alexander at 28, you are smoking crack. He will still be a top 6 RB for at 2-3 years.
Maybe not 28th but I would put him in the late teens -early 20's myself.Like other posters have pointed out he is getting older now and the Seattlt offensive line is not what it was.28th overall sounds about right.Shaun Alexander at 28, you are smoking crack.
