HEY EVERBODY LOOK AT ME ... I'll be on the field for the game! (1 Viewer)

UPDATE I didn't want to initially share this so it wasn't a ridiculous LOOK AT ME thread, but I will be on the field. I'll share the details once the game is over, but needless to say it's going to be a wild experience. For those wanting :pics: there will be plenty on the facebooks soon enough.

SO MY QUESTION - what would a FBGer do on Lambeau field during Monday night football?

Also I will be at the stadium 4 hours before the game with an All Access pass. What should I be checking out at the stadium?

HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME - I was invited to go to the Dec 8 Monday night football game at Lambeau Field.

I will be Fri/Sat night in Milwaukee and Sun/Mon night in Green Bay. What advice do you have for a first time Wisconsin visitor?

Kroll's West - restaurant

Titletown Brewing

Stroll. Take plenty of time before the game in the parking lot and in the surrounding neighborhood and streets.

Bean Snappers and Apollon - Appleton

beer boiled bratwurst

cheese curds

Trip to Madison might be worth it.

Ale Asylum - great beer

Capital Brewery

New Glarus Brewing

Tornado Club - Madison

Don't - don't be loaded at Lambeau, they're pretty serious about their football, tradition and whatnot.

Freeze your ### off?

Look at hot chicks covered in clothing?

Eat brats and drink lots of alcohol?

Walk around with wranglers on and tell everyone you're Brett Farve?

Fri and Sat night are in Madison. What else ya got?

On your way from Milwaukee to Green Bay, take HWY 41 to visit the Beansnappers.

Stay at the Holiday Inn or near there downtown Green Bay so you can visit the bars on the weekend at night. College is still going on so you could party with some Green Bay hotties. I would suggest going to the one and only Body Shop because that serves Green Bay's finest ladies around however, from Google, it appears to be closed. Sucks for you.

Since The Body Shop is closed, you could stay somewhere near Lambeau however you will then have to drive to the downtown bars to see the Green Bay hotties. There aren't many bars or hopping bars in the De Pere area but that is where the St. Norbets chicks might be in case you are nearer to Lambeau.

Visit the packer HOF at Lambeau. Very cool. As a Bears fan, there was a joke in there somewhere about it being in the basement; but I understand they have upgraded it and moved it upstairs.

We ended up flying into Madison and staying Fri/Sat. Just booked Ramada Inn near Lambeau.

You're not really near Lambeau. You're on the correct side of town but no way in walking distance. Just saying.

At night time though, you will not want to walk that. Maybe they will have a shuttle but that road, Oneida Way, is going to be car after car after car.

Cool, thanks

If you want a great meal and very good beer, Hinterland has both. Titletown Brewing is right across the street. More of an adult thing as opposed to downtown/nudie bars, but such is my life these days. That's on the other side of Lambeau from where you're staying, but still a very short cab ride.

Told my story to a buddy and he is certain im going to be abducted and sold into Brazilian sex slave industry. I'm I'm not back by Tuesday morning please send smoo

One last thing, we are doing fri day and sat in Madison instead of Milwaukee. I'm on the plan ready to take off for arrival 2pm. Anything interesting to see and do in Madison? :pics:

There are lots of great brewery taprooms and brew-pubs in Madison if you're into good craft beer - Ale Asylum, Karben4, Great Dane, One Barrel and plenty more. Tons of good live music options and restaurants. Tomorrow should be fun around campus with two big sporting events - both out of town, but the bars will be hoppin for Badgers basketball at Marquette in the afternoon and football against Ohio St. for the Big 10 championship in the evening.

I actually just turned down some tickets to the Packer game last week. I'm too old for Monday night games anymore, with the 2 hour drive to Green Bay. It will be fun though. Weather is very mild these days and the atmosphere up there should be great. I would love to get on the field some day - jealous.

I did this for the raider/Chiefs game, got a nice picture with Michael Irvin who was awesome to talk with. Fist bumps with Jim Otto and Dwayne Bowe and unveiled a massive flag for the national anthem. I never get goose bumps but I did that night, to hear the applause and appreciation for us was amazing! Then during the game we hung in the club section and couldn't buy a drink to save our lives, gb not working the next day. May wear my coast guard uniform to all games from now on! ;0)
