Hillary takes responsibility for loss. Blames Russia, FBI, misogyny, media, and unprecedented interference. (1 Viewer)

The hate was largely unfounded.  Trump did or does many of the things she was vilified for.  I mean Trump's talkign about speeches, and then once elected literally lining his pockets by filling Mar A Lago every weekend.  I think this election was won by talk radio.
Hillary has never been an endearing public figure. One of Hillary's biggest problems is that she struggles with the women vote that she should dominate.

In 2008 she should have easily been able to defeat an unknown, inexperienced Obama but failed.  Same in 2016 when she failed against Trump.

I agree.  Many women can't forgive her for staying with Bill after the Monica thing.  It really is that simple.

The russia stuff definitely played a role. IMO enough to switch votes a couple of points in key states. Regardless she lost to this twit and ultimately when I see her I see a giant loser never going to get past that. Honestly she pisses me off for ####### this up and I'm with the people's whose mindset is she needs to be very careful how in how she wants to "help" the party moving forward.

She she do charity work, give speeches, do whatever, but anything related to the party has to be very carefully targeted and managed. Her message has to be perfectly planned.

If she actually were to run again, oh lord. I don't believe she will do this.

Any Democrat is going to struggle to win the female vote.  Watch as Liz Warren is demonized and vilified by Fox and Rush the next few years.   Hillary was the victim of 25+ years of that hate machine, and it cost her.

What was Hillary running on, other than being the only adult in the race?

Nothing.

Her entire campaign was "this guy is unfit to be President".

True, but not enough to get people to vote for you instead.

This is nonsense.

You're mistaking polls for probability.  Silver talked about people underestimating his chances both before and after the election.  Hillary was a 70-30 favorite.  The 30% bet hit.  Anyone who plays poker or blackjack understands this.

Trump overperformed in a few states, but mostly within the margin of error.  In general, the polls were right.
Spin it however you want, but the vast majority of polls showed that Trump was not likely to win most of those battleground states. He was not within the margin of error in quite a few of them in the week before the election.

Not really..the people who listen to them were never going to vote for her anyway. Just as whatever Maddow, Lemon or Olberman say will never sway the other side. The rating whores just preach to their own choir.

Its not spin, it's the nature of probability.  Aces get cracked sometimes.  #### happens.

Rush/Fox droids don't need to vote for Hillary, they just needed to not vote for Trump.  Had that happened, Hillary would be POtUS.

The idea that the most popular political analysts don't have any influence is a weird take.

If Warren is intent on fueling that machine as Hillary was, she's certainly going to experience the same fate.  Warren seems like she's smarter than that though.  I guess we'll see.

Go ask a random person what was the big issue that Hillary was running on.

I follow politics pretty closely. I voted for her. And I have no idea how to answer that question.
I've always given Hillary props for being consistent on women's health issues and childhood protections in healthcare.  She's never wavered there.  The rest is anybody's guess which was a significant problem.  When you stand for everything to everyone you really don't stand for anything at all.

That machine doesn't need fuel - it's gassed for the next decade or two.

This is a really good point.  Judgements aside, if you ask 10 random people what big issue Trump was running on you'd get answers from all 10 almost immediately.

I thought Republicans were completely screwed with women because of abortion, birth control, and other stuff like that.  Now you're telling me that Democrats have to scratch and claw to attract female voters.

Interesting.

That's the answer, but it's one most of the people here will never accept. Hillary has always believed in public service. It's the central theme of her life.
the only issue Hillary cares about is her money and her power.    She doesn't give two ####s about you or anyone else

I thought so too.  I was wrong.

Build the Wall.  You may disagree with the message, but it was clear, crisp and consistent.

"Kill the jews" is clear and crisp.

The idea that Trump was consistent is beyond laughable.

Ummmm..... I guess the biggest thing was she felt entitled to be the first woman president.

She cared a lot about women.  Just look at her marriage as an example
Unbelievable that 6 months after she lost people still spew this crap.

Look, let's move on shall we? I'm always going to believe that Hillary is a good person because Ive got facts to prove it. You're always going to believe that Hillary is a bad person because you've got innuendo, political preference, and two decades of awful talk radio to make you believe it. But whatever either of us believe, she's done. She will speak her mind once in a while but she's not running for anything again. Her time is finished.
