Hines Ward - calling steeler homers (1 Viewer)

Ward did not practice today and Washington will start if Ward can't go.
Thanks for info. I hate to start Holmes & Washington though.
I wouldn't necessarily rule out Ward even though he did not practice yesterday. In Tomlin's weekly press conference he was asked about rookie TE Matt Spaeth's injury and he said that "Spaeth will only play if he can practice this week -- he's not like Hines Ward who can miss a week of practice and still play on Sunday".So Ward could be the dreaded Game Time Decision.

On Steelers Huddle he was talking as if he will be playing this weekend. Ward would play with any feet, he hates missing games.

Other than the rankings for the cheetsheet this week, does this really make Holmes a better start than Deion Branch this week?

So far Ben has really spread the ball around this year. I'm not sure I'd start any Steeler receiver at this point. The exception might be Heath Miller if you have to start a TE. Miller has looked really good and they are finally looking to the TE more. Although Spaeth and Tuman have cut into Miller's targets in the redzone.

What's the word on Ward's recovery? Is considered a buy low guy right now?
I have the same question. I was offered him for P. Crayton, but I haven't followed Ward's injury at all to this point. I don't care so much about this week, but what about the rest of this season? Is it a lingering injury etc.?

(KFFL) Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward (knee) did not practice for a second consecutive day Thursday, Oct. 4. He intends to try to practice Friday, Oct. 5, after doing some light running Thursday. If his knee responds well Friday, he is expected to play during Week 5. A second MRI showed only a small amount of fluid on his knee. While he wants to play, he said he won't if there is risk of further injury.

He's not playing this weekend, than he's on bye, than he plays Denver. I drafted him as my WR2 in two leagues but he won't be back in my starting lineup until week 8.
