Hines Ward doubtful for Thursday Night (1 Viewer)

Steelers homers please help. Wallace has all the production while Sweed has 1 reception for 5 yards on the season. However, with Ward out, would Wallace get the bump to the starting spot or do they go with Sweed's size in 2 WR sets?

Does Pitt run many 2 WR sets? Doesn't Ward line up in the slot (or at minimum in bunch formations) a lot anyway? Etc.

TIA.

What a wimp ... missing a must win game when his team needs him...

What I have heard is that you need to pay attention to the weather, it's going to be nasty. Wallace is a decent receiver and may be a sneaky play, but I think this is going to be a slugfest featuring Mendenhall.Consider other options.

He should lie to the doctors and say, 'I'm straight, I feel good" even though he knows he's "not really straight." What a wuss.

He had this to say:Hines Ward: Not Ruling Himself Out for Thursday - 12/8/2009 4:37:10 PMUpdate:Speaking on his weekly WDVE-FM radio show Tuesday night, Ward (hamstring) was not willing to rule himself out of Thursday's game against Cleveland.Recommendation:Ward said that he ran "fairly well" on Tuesday, making the doctor say "wow." The Steelers wideout added that he gives himself a better chance to play if there is no snow, because his cleats couldn't dig into the snow. "My game is not predicated on speed, I'm not opening it up like a track start," noted Ward. "I'm going to try to go but it comes down to coach Tomlin. Me, I don't like to miss games."
