even if Ben comes back to form do you think Hines is not the same WR with big play capability because of his Hamy? I havent been able to watch but the first game of his so just looking for thoughts on guys who have watched him.

I have watched both games and think he is fine. Last week they didn't do anything so it was tough to tell. There wasn't ANY chances for big plays. The week before I thought he looked great. Ward is one of those guys that is going to be pretty consistant and if you don't play him you know what will happen.

I think Ward will be fine. As for big play ability, think back to last week. Ward was open deep for a TD but was just overthrown by a rusty Big Ben. Ward always puts up solid numbers so nothing to worry about.

that is what I am hoping for... just realizing that hamstrings can be tricky and linger. Since I havent seen him much I was just curious as to the visible effects that might be noticeable (if any).

Ward is fine. Roethlisberger is the problem. He looks tenative and clearly needs more work with the receivers to get into synch. The bye week should be a big help.

Madieu Williams barely broke up a long TD to Ward - he doesnt quite have the same burst as you're used to seeing, but he's still exhibiting that uncanny body control and great hands. He'll be fine.

OK But "right back at ya" if(you feel) his QB can't get him the ball....what would you tell me, a Ward owner, to do with him?

Bri,I don't think anyone knows for sure if the problems with Ben are just getting repetitions and cohesion across the offense or if he's lost too much strength to play the same as he did last year. The media overdramatizes Ben's every move it seems, yet I'm pretty sure the FF community may be understating how difficult it is to lose 20 pounds or so right before training camp. We hear all the time how an early season injury can prevent a player from performing at his peak all season long. I'd say what Ben has experienced so far applies. The conservative play is to get rid of Ward, IMO. If you have the depth and want to be patient, it may pay off starting in Week 8 when the Steelers hit a considerably easier stretch schedule-wise.

There have been several close plays either broken up or just out of Hines' fingertips in the last couple of weeks. Even with Rothlesburgers obvious miscues they are close to some big plays. If they are on the practice field together for the next 2 weeks ward should rebound.

but he's my stud WR I can get in the 4th or 5th in PPR leagues and this is the first year in a long time I didn't draft Coles :bag: seriously, yeah figured so guess I need to "hear" it. Thanks

Coming from Bloom, I'll take this at face value. He's killing me though right now. I paid 17% of my cap for him in an auction league and he is killing me. I notice his stats have decreased for 4 straight season though, so he might be falling off the map here pretty quickly.
