Holdout/Injury Hypothetical (1 Viewer)

The sky is falling right now for a couple of pretty highly ranked players, most notably Chris Johnson and Peyton Manning, and the other Colts' skill position players by their association to PM. I understand the need to drop these guys down a few notches due to the uncertainty of their situations, but some owners are really freaking out, when it is unlikely that either of these guys will miss the season. Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that you KNEW that both players would miss 2 games entirely, and it would take them 1 additional game to shake off the rust, but by week 4 each were back to performing at the level expected of them if the holdout/injury were non-issues. Three non-existent and/or subpar weeks to start the season is rough, but for the rest of the season you'd get a guy who is arguably the best at his position. If you knew for certain the above would play out, where would you rank each of these guys right now? What about if we knew for certain they'd each only miss one game, and be back to top level production to start week 2?

The CJ situation especially reminds me of the Emmitt Smith holdout. Check out this article, which highlights that the two sides were $8M apart in training camp, but Smith eventually signed and led the league in rushing despite missing the first two games.
