Okay, now besides the fact that a lot of these guys are hacks, how is it that with some Ebayers bragging that their spreadsheets "show you the rankings of some of the most respected fantasy football magazines around," that they aren't getting in trouble for copyright infringement? It is a trend spreading quickly via Ebay.

The "Brian and Boom" edition seems to be careful to show that they are compiling publicly available info, but I doubt that Joe and Co. would want to be associated with these fellas, and the auction graphic clearly lists Footballguys "ADP" as a source.

I don't see much of a problem with this. Why buy mags or subscriptions if all you're looking for is rankings/ADP? If somsone goes throught he toruble to capture all that info and sell it for $1.50 I think it's a good idea for both him and whoever buys it.

As for if it's legal or not, I don't know and frankly, don't really care.

There are a lot of frivolous intellectual property lawsuits in litigious America, but in industries driven by information like FF, this seems to be pretty not cool to me.

Moreso because this is capitalism at its most lazy. A lot of us put together spreadsheets for our drafts, but that doesn't mean any of them are worth a plugged nickel.

In the 3rd picture of this auction, the 4th column is titled "adp footballguys."You can also see it in the 1st picture.
Yup. I noted that. I don't know how grey an area this is because it is taking stuff available in FBG's free pages. But then, it is also using the FBG name w/o permission.

Anyway, it's pretty crappy business all around.
 That'll teach me for not reading the entire first post.
