Horn this week (1 Viewer)

still hurt? OK?

Monday he said he'd play at "60 percent" practiced fully Friday. Any thoughts?

I hear he is 100%. I think he had 2 great days of practice.
I think he's a sneaky play this week. I can easily see 100 yards and 1 TD. I think the FBG cheatsheets people missed the boat on this one. We shall see.

He sat last week and I feel like you guys aren't being reasonable. What do you say to that? Curious/debate info not egging ya on/fishing

ETA Cmon, no debate thoughts?

alright no debate, thanks anyway.I like the fact that you guys are liking him this week esp the over Chambers one, so I'll roll with him. Good luck today, Horn Owners

Are there questions about Horn this week? Sure - that's why he's a WR3 option. If there weren't any we wouldn't be talking about whether he s/b in a lineup. I'm concerned about how his groin injury holds up; Henderson and Copper each performed well opposite Colston and could take snaps away from Horn. Colston is also the clear #1 option for Brees; starting a team's WR2 always carries some level of risk.

However, when looking at Horn I see a guy who is clearly on Brees' radar (#2 in targets even after misssing two games). He had his best two games of the season prior to his injury. He's a guy who wants to play, wants the ball, and has a capable QB to get it to him.

When I look at my other options I see RMoss (the anti-Horn), Jennings (w/ many of the same concerns as JH), Berrian (still unsure if he plays), and Cotchery (vs. CHI)...I go w/ Joe Horn this week.

ETA: Even w/ Berrian reported to start, I still prefer Horn. Berrian is more of a big-play threat, but is also more likely to get you 4/40/0.

I'm starting Horn over Muhammad & Clayton.

It's just too hard to sit him since the NO Pass Off. has been on fire lately and Drew Brees has played so well. That coupled with a shoddy Cincy Pass Def. has to mean NO will be firing at will through the air on Cincy to build a lead.

Why Horn over Jennings? Both injury issues so I'm curious

I'm starting Favre, and don't want to run the risk of NE shutting GB down. I know NE DBs are banged up, and this s/b a good matchup for GB (which is why I'm starting Favre) , but NE has pulled improbable performances out of their ###es before. This, along w/ the QB decision, was the toughest call for me this week.

I am also starting horn over Jennings. I saw Jennings play with the ankle and he definately is a couple steps slower - perhaps the extra week has helped but I dont know. That said, I feel somehow a bit more confident in both Horn's health (though that is very close) and the matchup. I know NE has injuries, but even so, I could see a shootout for NO.Very tough choice - starting Ma. Clayton over Jennings too - but I could see an arguement for Jennings too. Tough call.

I started him this week, also believing that it was a sneaky play. Unfortunately I sat Lee Evans for him.

Despite the good game, it was a little disconcerting that Bress barely looked at him today and mostly threw the ball to Henderson, Copper, and Bush. Also, Horn was out for a number of snaps. Maybe they just wanted to bring him along slowly.

I agree completely with the previous post.It was nice to see him get behind the defense for that long TD, but he seemed invisible the rest of the game.
Not even really behind the defense - lucky to catch it and score despite three defenders there. I think that "fluke" play inflates his stats to a point where people think he was a bigger part of the game than several other posters have already pointed out.

Regardless, he's a playmaker on a team that fires the ball at will...
