Hot Teacher Pays Student to Keep Quiet About the Sechs (1 Viewer)

Stat laws are antiquated. They're actually a product of officious progressivism from the early 20th Century. They reflect a first wave feminist/Bostonian take on sexuality, and rarely jibe with reality.
I assume this is based on your personal experience with children who are victims of sexual abuse.  I have a very different experience with the ones I've represented or helped other lawyers represent.

I know you do.  I know lots of people do.  Let me assure you based on personal experience, in 5-10 years you wouldn't look at many of them I've met and think "good for him." Assuming he's still alive.
There is also an unknown variable, how would the kid have turned out anyways?

Take the kid in this story for instance - he is blackmailing the teacher for tons of money, does he sound like he is on the path to being an upstanding citizen?

You give me a kid with straight A's heading to Wharton and he jumps off a bridge, I can concede my point - you give me a kid like the one in this story with straight D's, multiple suspensions, and 2 failed drug tests then I struggle to concede this incident is what altered his path.

Yeah, that's why I just asked you in all earnestness. I tried to get a discussion going about this limiting it to Romeo and Juliet laws, but got little response.

I'm being serious. My first girlfriend was a victim of complete abuse, so I'm not really hot on taking a controversial position; only would argue that 17-16 or 18-15 sex isn't that bad.

Intergenerational is another story altogether.

17-16 and 18-15 isn't what we're talking about here.  We're talking about teachers abusing authority.  There are no 18-year-old teachers.

I guess we'll never know because of the ####ing child molester.

You think abusers pick troubled kids on accident?

See, I vary wildly between thinking that positions of authority have been abused and the clandestine high fives in the locker room that do exist among men. You're a civil rights attorney, but what stats can you point me to to allow me an otherwise non-bro outlook on this.
I'm not sure what kind of stats you're looking for.

Edit:  Every single study I've ever seen shows that under-18 victims of abuse by authority figures - male and female, but there's no dropoff (and sometimes an uptick) with male victims - suffer more depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, drug and alcohol addiction/abuse, unhappiness with future relationships, likelihood of becoming abusive (of all kinds) themselves, etc.

For example, a good majority of high school seniors are basically jerking off most of the year waiting to go to college. This individual sleeps with a teacher, I lean towards the side of 'good for him' over the 'he is a victim' side.
Because a kid is masturbating a lot, it follows that he is not harmed by a person in authority having sex with him?  Is that really your argument?

I was using the term jerking off metaphorically.

Furthermore, I consider a high school senior as someone who can and should be held accountable for their actions.

help me out with the metaphor.  Sexually active?  Sexually mature?

Furthermore, who said a HS senior shouldn't be held accountable?

I don't get the about face so quickly. I'm just trying to get an explanation, and will get out of the way, like I do when I say I'll do. Until then, I'm going to assume a sixteen or seventeen year-old male (non-adult) is mature enough to handle his sexuality, regardless of "power". Common sense is why all these teachers never do time in the sentencing phase, and I'll go with the judicial system instead of mere indignation.

I don't know what you guys did as seniors in high school, but my definition of jerking off includes; not doing much work (my applications are already out), drinking & or smoking pot, trying to nail anything that walks, hanging with friends, & basically anything else that involves little responsibility and a lot of fun... I regret none of it - this is a time in your life where you're near the physical maturity of a fully grown adult and mentally developing your own views as an adult, while basically having a 12 month stretch of zero responsibility, literally none at all.

Because a kid is masturbating a lot, it follows that he is not harmed by a person in authority having sex with him?
To your question; you imply harm to this high school senior, this to me means as a victim it isn't his fault and shouldn't be held accountable, no?

I still don't get why being a jerk off means that person can't be harmed.

And you seriously don't think blame can be shared?  What world do you live in?

In this scenario, with a kid skating around waiting to go to college, I don't know if you been following along here, but I don't think there is blame or harm. By the time I finished high school I had intercourse with roughly 20 girls (I just tried to tally it up and honestly struggled, I can say definitively 6 were one week in Cancun), tack on another 20-30 for oral or hand related stuff.

Everyone is different, our views don't align

I live on Earth, in a city known as New York.

You suggested that because he was a kid skating around, there couldn't be any harm.  If that is your contention, you are wrong.

You also seem to be really focused on your sexual history with non-teachers, though I don't know why.

Hypothetically, a high school senior has had a decent amount of sexual relations (which isn't far-fetched), with their college applications out, and riding through a bunch of elective courses senior year doesn't view anybody as an authoritative figure.

Hard to understand why this is so hard to comprehend.

When reading threads here, sometimes it feels like a lot of people live very very vanilla lives.

Crazy story, feels like a good thread for it:

When I first moved into my apartment in the city I went to a bar 2 blocks from my house, I was 22. I ended up in a conversation with a smoking hot Israeli woman, ended up taking her back to my spot where we smashed, she was roughly 35-36. Turns out she was married with kids. Looking back and whenever I think about it, I feel awful, but supposedly her husband was a gynecologist that nailed everything. We ended up sleeping together on and off for about 2 years. Morally terrible, no disputing it on my end, but she was 15 years my senior and I was a young kid, nothing legally objectionable about it.

Here is the crazy part - woman moved to Los Angeles in like 2007, we never spoke or saw each other again. I was on my honeymoon in 2012 on a tropical island. When we left we were standing in the airport and the customs line or whatever long ### line it was. I turned around to scan the line and boom, there she was, husband and two kids, she saw me too. I turned ghost white and turned back around. This was one of those theme park like lines where you just went back and forth like a maze, we walked by each other 5x, my last loop before hitting the agent she gave me a smirk and wink.

 okay, I suppose a particular senior might not view his teachers as authority figures near the end of HS.  I thought you were saying it was necessarily true that no harm could be done to jerk offs because of their jerk osity.

On another note...I want to know more about this kid...my son is his age and he and his friends can't figure out how to piss in the toilet straight or how to toast Pop Tarts yet this kid is getting laid by his teacher and making five figures off of it...I'm guessing with the proper training we could have this kid take out ISIS in a week and still have him home in time to nail the whole Poli-Sci Department at the nearest college...he's kind of like a modern-day Good Will Hunting...there is untapped greatness here...
:lmao: :lmao:  First HUGE belly laugh of 2017.  Brilliant!

Instant fookin' classic right here. :lmao: :lmao:

It must be a good life. That's cool.
What I find creepy is your obsession with sex stories and asking fbgs about their sexual habits. I'm no expert, but it kinda sounds like an addiction.

First, $500k in pocket isn't likely to happen.  In fact, in the state I prosecute these kinds of cases, any suit against a district/department/etc. is going to have a total cap of $500k, which means there's no settlement of that sort - if you win, you get that amount total, and attorney's fees, costs, etc. come out.  A rape case against the State may settle for 2/3-3/4 of that value if you have pretty solid proof against the State/municipality/etc.  And then whatever the lawyer gets comes out of that amount as well.  Plus costs.

Second, the issue is not whether someone gets treated like a rock star by his peers for some period of time.  The issue is a violation of a child and the intentional interruption of normal development of a child.  It's disgusting, it's damaging, and it's an epidemic of people (men and women) who think they're doing something that the kid will like, not much different from Michael Jackson's alleged "Jesus Juice" or what Hollywood did to Corey Feldman and Corey Haim. I'm sure they turned out fine, though.  I haven't really kept up.
Im not saying youre wrong, but you have an interesting definition of a normal development of a child.  Children today in western culture are raised in an incredibly abnormal manner given history.  For the overwhelming majority of human history, kids had little if any schooling and were forced to work pretty much from the time they could walk. Many had to fend for themselves, were sold off as slaves or married early to old men. Were in a paradise but im not sure id call it normal.

Did she teach you to breathe through your eyeballs and wear women's underwear while pitching?

I think back to when I was 16 or 17, and what a dumb ### I was, as were my friends, even the smart ones.  I think there is a reason people this age are still considered children by default.
