I noticed he wasn't ranked as high as usual this week too against a TEN team that Denver threw all over. Is there something we're missing tha FBG know?

Sigh. KJ wasn't ranked high either. If healthy, and I've read nothing contrary, TJ will get his. More than likely Bengals will have to throw.

Nov 22 Mark Curnutte, of The Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 22. He is expected to play Week 12.

Nov 21 Houshmandzadeh (back) did not practice Wednesday.

The Bengals already said they would probably limit Houshmandzadeh early in the week, but he is expected to play Sunday against the Titans.

I'm not sure that justifies his mid-20s ranking this week.

Sure it does. He has not practiced all week. If/when he practices I am sure it will reflect that.

Haynesworth should be back this week. Cincy won't throw all over them if he's back.

If anything, in a strange way, Haynesworth may actully help TJ's production. I think, with big Al's play, Cinci wil be forced to throw more. The Titans pass D pre-Al's injury was not all that great.

Housh is riding the pine for Steve Smith this week. Weird saying that for several reasons, but thats the way this crazy season has gone

Because he's a shutdown corner? Given, he will help some, doubt he stops their passing attack.
Injury report on Nick Harper might answer this Q better. However even if he's out they have two good CBs. Henry might be a prob.

Just traded for Housh, so I haven't been following his week-to-week practice participation very closely until now, but IIRC isn't Housh one of those players that typically misses portions of practice each week? With that in mind, and if it's correct, I'm surprised by the mid-20's ranking as well. Bottom line is that if he plays, he will be in my lineup.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh-WR- Bengals Nov. 23 - 2:38 am et

T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back) missed another practice Thursday.

We'll see how he's listed Friday afternoon, but there have been no indications coming from the Bengals that Housh is in danger of sitting Sunday out.

I think it has more to do with the effective return of Henry and less to do with missing practice. Henry has had 2 8/100/.5 performances, most of which were Housh's stats.

Housh is riding the pine for Steve Smith this week.
If that changes for some reason, could you let us know?
Whats funny is at times when i see posts that people have typed in who they are playing or benching i start to post who I`M going to play and why...then i come to my senses and say to myself ''nobody cares who i`m starting'' and i delete it :scared:
I don't mind these posts myself. They help in getting other opinions of a particular player's percieved value for that week. If several are given in a thread regarding a player with some questions about his coming performance, it can be somewhat helpful.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back) returned to practice Friday, but says he's unsure of whether he can play in Week 12 against the Titans.

It's never a good sign when a player isn't confident about his status for a game, although coach Marvin Lewis did indicate early in the week that Houshmandzadeh should be able to play Sunday. We'll have how Housh is officially listed on the injury report later this afternoon.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh, listed as probable against the Titans with a bruised back, suited up for the first time this week at Friday morning's practice. So did wide receiver Glenn Holt (concussion).

Both men got in full workouts.

Houshmandzadeh, who played late last season with four small broken bones in his back, said before Friday's practice that this injury isn't as serious "but if I can't tolerate it, I can't tolerate it. We've still got 48 hours before the game. We'll see."

Head coach Marvin Lewis said after practice that he thinks Houshmandzadeh can play.

"He wants to very badly and there shouldn't be a problem," Lewis said.

Houshmandzadeh, on pace for one of the top receiving seasons of all time with 122 catches, hasn't played 16 games since his breakout season of 73 catches in 2004. He's just 15 grabs from a career-high 91 and 25 from a club-record 101 and he's not looking to miss any games.

"If I hadn't got hurt last year I could have had a season like this," said Houshmandzadeh, who had 90 catches despite missing the first two games with a bruised heel. ...

Meanwhile, Bengals.com staffer Geoff Hobson reports there may be bad news on running back Chris Perry. He didn't practice Friday, the last workout before the Bengals have to decide early next week if they're going to put him on season-ending injured reserve or activate him on the 53-man roster.

Perry dislocated his ankle last Nov. 26 in Cleveland and hasn't played since.

I'm surprised there's no pinned thread on Hoosh. Is there really no doubt he's playing today? Everything I've read sounds shaky at best...
