*** Houston vs Denver Game Thread *** (1 Viewer)

I hope so. But even more than that I hope David Carr and Andre Johnson look like Marino to Duper. More Kool-Aid for the masses.

I liked when Jerry jones corrected the useless ditz on the sidelines...guess that was leftovers from the Dallas/SF game...she talked about Kelvin martin's big catch in 1992...Jerry Jones says "I'm going to correct you, it was Alvin Harper"...I don't think it even registered with this field reporter...who told her Kelvin Martin...where did she pull that name from?

She's cute AND dumb. What more could a man want!?

Scheffler handled Mario Williams by himself on that last play. Impressive block by the rook.

Javon looked pretty good there. I don't think they'll test him much over the middle, but he may go deep.

I saw that differently...I felt like mario Williams blew into the backfield and disrupted Mike Bell and made him lose his footing. But that's me.
I don't believe Williams got much depth. It looked to me like Scheffler turned Williams away from the play & he wasn't a factor. I'd like to look at it again, though, to make sure of what I saw.

Listening to it on Sirius, so I can't see... first drive, they called Bell's number a few times. The announcers seemed impressed with his ability to break a tackle.

Sounds like Lundi has started this game, catchinig a pass on the first play for Houston's O.

All this talk of Morency looks like the coaching staff want Lundy to start

2 catches now for Walker... Tatum in the game now
Yeah another nice catch, sntched out of the air. He isn't cutting hard but they probably don' want to push him too much. He is cutting though and using his body well. Is getting a little cocky too. :)They said they want to get him about 6 balls.

Carr sacked on third down - not his fault though. Lundy looked good so far - he has been in the first two series.

Lundy has 4/16 yds, and 1/9 receiving...he has all the touches for Houston right now...ALL of them.

They have run a total of 6 plays on 2 drives...Houston is not going anywhere this season...especially agains the better defenses in the league.

Is it Sterling Sharpe calling the color commentary? I think it is - and he STINKS!!!

On the players -Lundy WILL be the Texans' starter - on that third down blitz that got to Carr, Lundy was the best blocker on the OL - pick up the blitz? You get the start.

I'm also curious to see Morency, but i can't imagine him outplaying Lundy against this ferocious Denver run D.

\

Carr has NO time back there again.

Walker looked good in his three catches.

RSmith got interfered with in his only target, but no call.

TBell looks ok - not great, but OK. MBell looks ok - not great, but OK. I expect one of the backs to start looking better as the Houston D gets softened up a bit.

I like Sterling. Not the most experienced but I like him. Could be Deion or Irvin. Or Theissman or MacGuire.
