Maybe 20x20, either way I wouldn't want it much bigger.

Any opinions on built in seating or flower boxes?

I highly recommend having multiple boxes for your deck.  You may get tired of the same one all the time.  As far as the seating goes, your guests may want to face different parts of the landscape from time to time, so it is important to be able to accommodate different positions.
