how can we contact ESPN to lobby for different crew? (1 Viewer)

I mean, they aren't awesome but Nessler-Jaws-Vermeil are at least decent, which is 20 times better than the other group....

I've always like Nessler when he did college games.

I love Jaws insight, he can break down what's happening in terms of X's and O's as well as anybody.

ESPN TV contact page. I've never had much success getting a response, but most of the feedback I've sent when I was hammered on a Saturday night/Sunday morning and decided to write in and let them know frankly how I felt about Stuart Scott.

Haven't gotten a chance to hear Kornholio and the new MNF telecast, but I caught the second game and I thought they were the best crew I've heard in awhile. Gotta love Jaws and Nessler was pretty good, first time I've ever heard him. Two thumbs up, this should be the real MNF crew.

Agreed. The late game crew was great. I can't even listen to Kornholer and Joe T, it's like nails on a blackboard.
I can't listen to Pardon the interruption for 30 seconds, let alone an entire game with Tony Kornheiser. :toilet: ESPN getting Monday Night Football may very well be a HUGE mistake. I'm debating watching the live updates on NFL.com instead of listening to these guys. More than likely though, I'll be muting the TV during the game which is a sin. :pokey:

I just sent in a email to espn from my own email address. They box they give you on the form only gives room for 500 characters which I didnt find enough. figured wth why not try and see if it will change anything.

Edited to say the email address if you "cannot" use the form is at the bottom of the page in blue. I just copied that address to my presonal email and sent it from there with about a 1000 character letter explaining my stance on the whole issue.

Thanks for the link! I can't sleep so I send ESPN a friendly note explaining why I can't listen to Theisman or Kornheiser. It's hard to explain the depth of my irritation in the mere 500 words they allot you in the form.

The worst possible scenario was Kornheiser and Thiesman doing a reskins game. They acted like Gibbs was the only coach in the league not calling his own plays. "What does he do?" "He's like Bobby Bowden."

It was awful

The broadcasters do need some improvement. My biggest beef was that ESPN kept cutting away to do an update, or having a player introduce other players, and wouldn't get back in time to see the next play.

1 a day from me till Tony is gone

I sent mine but just for the sake of reality, ESPN wants to appeal to non-football fans. Kornheiser is a slightly more sports oriented version of Dennis Miller. I wish they cared about content and information but if their idea of sports debate is Irvin screaming louder and louder and repeatedly putting the likes of these on the air, they have proven the contrary.

I continue to send mine.

The game is just a distraction that allows them to pimp movies, TV series, talk about navel lint, and have Joe Theisman say "I had the chance to talk to..." about 100 times...

Did anyone watch all of the Oakland/S.D. game?

Vermeil and Jaws were awful!!

Vermeil used the "like a 7-11, always open" cliche TWICE!

It was the worst broadcasting duo I've ever seen, even worse than Bill Walton and anyone doing NBA games.

Jaws and Vermeil and the other guy during the charger game was great. I would keep them on, esp Jaws.

I have no problem listening to Kornheiser. Love PTI and I dont mind him in the booth. BUT its hard to be good when Theismann is there. He just oozes bad announcing and brings everyone else down by his sheer pressence.

Lose Theismann. Keep the rest of the 2 crews

Message sent. I actually stayed up and watched the entire debacle just because I finally heard a crew that was professional, informative, and didn't make my ears bleed. Count me in on the petition. Does anyone know if Nessler, Jaws, and Vermeil will be doing any more games this season?

I can live with that cliche once in a while when I've had to watch countless Texans games with the 94th string announcing crew and dozens of Sunday Nighters with Theisman, McGuire, and now Kornhole babbling about ??? and trying to scream over each other.... :wall: :X

I'll take informed guys adding to my knowledge of the game I'm watching but might use some hackneyed cliches over the likes of Kornheiser and Theisman discussing where Jamie Foxx gets to sit in Dan Synder's booth every day.

I really enjoyed the Nessler/Vermeil/Jaworski team and I voiced my opinion.

But you know what the big difference was? They actually tried to talk about the game. I think it's more than the commentators. It seemed that it was a decision by the producers to actually concentrate on football rather than try to bring in 80 different story lines that have nothing to do with the game.

kornheiser BLOWS. That dude has a voice for mime-work.

And the 'Tony!Tony!Tony!' email shtick has to go. Please GOD.....

I like both crews...

They are better than 90% of the other pro announcers. (College has some good ones)

If we all had to listen to Phil Sims, Bill Maas, etc. every week I think we'd be complaining about them a lot more.

I just left feedback on Irvin.

"Irvin must go" was the theme. He's a complete dolt and I grab the remote when he starts yapping...

I actually find Theisman way more tolerable this year because it seems like Kornheiser keeps him in check. With that being said, Kornheiser sucks in the booth. At least this year is better than having Paul Macguire. THAT guy was the epitome of annoying.
:goodposting: Theisman and McGuire fed off each other's gushing about players, coaches, fans, you name it, it was the greatest ... the worst duo ever. Theisman isn't as bad with Korn there but still find I mute him occasionally which isn't bad compared to how much I muted Monday Night football last year.

MNF is what blows. As one who rarely watches it live(tend to work late) I am used to coming home and zipping through the commercials on tivo. Last night I was watching live and it seemed to me that they went to a commercial every few minutes. I had a very diffcult time getting into the flow of the game wth all of the breaks. Sunday afternoon games aren't anywhere near as bad. Sure they have commercials but not every friggin 5 minutes. Man, I'm glad I'll be working monday nights from here on out.

I don't listen to the tv crew because I prefer the radio crews(all 3 of em) . Always have. Radio guys do a far better job of describing the action and aren't as annoying as the Kornheisers and Theismans of the world.

I WANT YOU TO WATCH THIS, WATCH THIS RIGHT HERE, SEE IT, LOOK AT HIS FEET!! C'mon, that was entertainment and quality broadcasting. :loco:

Agree with the many that liked Nesslar, Vermeil and Jaworski.

If you had to combine the 2 crews, I"d keep Nesslar and Jaws... maybe add Kornheissar to them. Half the time I like him, the other half I hate him.

I just wish he'd quit talking about his damn bedtime. Even on PTI that annoyed me, let alone on MNF.

If he'd drop that, he wouldn't be half bad.

My comment to ESPN?

"I refuse to watch the game and instead view it on NFL.com. I know you are all interested in the ratings but this guy has no clue what he's talking about. I can't watch PTI because of him. Now a Monday Night Football game? This has to be one of the worst decisions by ESPN I've ever seen. Listening to Michael Irvin speak is absolutely terrible and I mute it every time I hear him but Kornheiser? They are both TERRIBLE, let them both go. Irvin is obnoxious, and Kornheiser is just downright DUMB!!!!!"

Yep, the other guy was really bad too. He would frequently become inappropriately enthusiastic.Don't get me wrong though, all three are tools.

Keep sending those e-mails! However, ESPN is not going to make a change in mid-season unless there is some medical mishap, an incident involving alcohol and possibly punching a cop, or driving naked around a suburban Detroit neighborhood.

They are locked in.

I like Corn...enjoy PTI. I really enjoyed the west coast crew on MNF...even though I find Jaws extremely annoying most of the time. I thought #### "I cry if I break my crayon" Vermeil did an excellent job as well.

My beef is with Joe Theiseman. I can't stand the guy and don't understand how he is on TV. I also don't understand how Michael "Mary Jane" Irvin is on the air. He annoys me as much as Theiseman.

I think Corn needs some gesture lessons though. He is coming off as gay when they show the announcers in the booth. Very femine gestures. Is he gay??
