How did Gus Frerotte look? (1 Viewer)

I didn't get a chance to see the Carolina/Minnesota game...any viewers have input? I still can't believe that Childress really believes Frerotte gives them the best chance to win. From what I saw in the first two games, Tavaris didn't look too bad. He just happened to be the Minny scapegoat IMO.

Frerotte keeps the job as long as they are winning, or was Childress trying to light a fire under Tavaris? From numerous reports, Childress used to pimp the hell outta Tavaris...Whats the deal here guys?

He did plenty enough to keep the job, yes. Mainly, he won the game. I will say I saw a lot of "nerves" out of him. Lots of high, sailing throws which is common when a QB is too pumped up. I look for him to settle down and be fine going forward.

He looked decent and should get better. Jackson is WW fodder in redraft leagues, and Frerotte is no better than a bye week filler at most.

He looked fine. Not anything special, not staring material in most formats, but fine.

What seemed strange, or not so strange if you think Childress is a moron, is that they were calling an inordinate number of passes for him, especially early on.

Maybe Childress wanted to prove "he was right" in replacing Jackson by having Frerotte throw it all over the field.

The thing with Jackson is that he wasn't showing a lot of accuracy, and everyone knows if the Vikings have to depend on Jackson to win the game in the last 2 minutes, they have them beat. I don't believe a team wants that kind of QB as their "QB of the future".

Frerotte didn't look awesome by any means.

Considering this is a fantasy site, I wouldn't put much stock into him as a FF QB.

But he managed the game MUCH better that TJack has. He made the plays that TJack wouldn't have, and didn't make many dumb mistakes.

Good stuff in here, thx guys.

I'm not an owner of any Vikes, but I'm looking forward to the next two weeks, @TEN and @NO, just to see how this whole issue plays out.
