How do you guys find a dynasty league you trust? (1 Viewer)

none of the guys in my redraft are interested and I am.. however I don't trust strangers with my money very much! So I'm tentative about doing one online.

how common is it to find a spot or take over a team with an established league? where would I look?

You can always find safe and secure dynasty league openings here at FBGs. Go to the Looking for Leagues Forum. I run 3 dynasty leagues myself, Fantasy Legends I, II, and III, which range from 5 yrs running to 2 yrs. I don't know of any dishonest commishes that post here at FBGs. FBGs would be one of the first places you would hear of anything negative, like stealing someone's money that you are worried about. We currently have an opening in FLL3 and I'm waiting to hear from someone. We had an owner who can't manage his team because of personal issues, so he asked to be replaced. He's a good guy, but stuff comes up in people's lives that are more important than FF.

There's always openings coming up in dynasty leagues for some reason or another. The idea is to limit the turnover by recruiting owners who are in it for the long haul, not someone who's one and done, or someone who is an inactive owner. Dynasty leagues require attention year round IMO.

Yeah I guess here would be as good a place as any to start, thanks for the advice :goodposting: Yeah, year round FF sounds like heaven to me!

Try the looking for leagues forum. I personally reccomend MOX leagues ( Misfits and Outlaws run by Ravnzfan), and also am a member of 6 leagues with Wahoos as commish. Watch for leagues that lose a member and if it is filled fast then the commish has a good rep. When they start a new league or have an open team jump on it...

commish of 3 dynasty leagues

one in its 11th year, one in its 5th and the other is a 1st year league. I would think longevity would so a sign of a good commish

the MOX leagues run by Ravnzfan are good leagues, he can be trusted.

I am in my first year in a league run by FSUfan, i give him the thumbs up despite his man crush on Bowden.I am in my third year in one MOX league and my first year in another MOX league. Big thumbs up for this guy. Ravnzfan knows his stuff. But the best way to find out is to do what you did. Post here. Read the responses and note that certain names come up over and over.Peace

I would say look for leagues on this site, as most of the commishs who advertise here are either by reputation as good commishs or regular poster, who if nothing else would not want their "name" tarnished by intentionally running a bad league.

I would also say become a regular, good poster on these boards, especially in the off-season. Some leagues will recruit from known posters before advertising in the Looking for Leagues section here.
