how do you handle rookie salaries (1 Viewer)

my auction keeper league has been going for a few years now, and we've always just lumped rookies in with the auction.

but now were looking at having a separate rookie draft and I'm wondering how other leagues do this in regards to salaries?

do all rookies carry the same salary? or do you do it based on what position they were drafted?

Salary cap = $125 mil

Top 3 picks $10 mil contracts/4 years

4-6 picks $7.5 mil contracts/4 years

7-12 picks $5 mil contracts/3 years

Round 2 (first 6 picks) $3.5 mil contracts/2 years

Round 2 (bottom 6 picks) $2 mil contracts/2 years

Round 3 picks $1 mil contract/1 year

Round 4-6 picks $500 contracts(league minimum)/1 year

Players are the property of an owning team for their first four years in the league, when a contract expires the owning team has the option to re-sign the player at a 50% raise or cut them without incurring a cap penalty (25% of contract for life of contract)
