I added this one to the poll, so you can change your vote...Other: Nor-fork. I know it's wrong, but there is a Norfolk, NE and that's how a lot of people around here pronounce it.
I am trying to change the way I say it to Nor-folk.
I voted for Nor-####, but I agree with this. A schwa would probably more accurate.Probably more like "Norf-uck", rather than "Nor-####".
In my dynasty league, based out of the 75 area code (Hampton Roads), we put the lowest 5 teams from the previous year into the "lower division" and call it Norfolk N Way (as in their shot at the title).Norfolk N'-Weigh
Easy: don't drink, don't smoke, nor ####.![]()
I guess Nor-fick is not how you pronounce Norfolk.
Any Virginians here got the correct version?
NopeDoes it count to pronounce it multiple ways?
Norfuk, MA
and
Norf-folk, VA
Grew up near Boston, don't have any sort of Boston accent, but you pickup the pronunciations of the words.
Not the way I pronounce it but the locals in VA pronounce it like this.Probably more like "Norf-uck", rather than "Nor-####".
