How does McNabb's injury affect his offensive teammates (1 Viewer)

With McNabb on the shelf, what do we make of the Philly offense. I know that a lot will depend on which QB Reid chooses, but let's get the conversation rolling.

My take: Garcia is the starter. I think that Westy and LJ should be okay, about the same, maybe a few more "safe" passes their way. I think that Brown and Stallworth take a small notch down. But overall I don't think that the offense will change much, since Garcia has some mobility.

If AJ gets the nod as the QB, it's all over for Philly, they will basically be throwing in the white towel.

What's your thoughts???

Stallworth takes a huge hit. Brown was marginal once Stallworth was back anyway. Westy is good on yardage, great on catches (PPR special), but less TD opps. LJ is up a little, because Garcia can only throw short to mid.

Garcia appears unwilling and unable to throw the deep ball. So I presume our offense will look like the Skins' when Brunell was starting. One would hope that we'll run more as a result, despite lacking a Portis type.

Okay, lets assume Garcia doesn't start and AJ Feely gets the start. How good is his arm?

Reid would not confirm Garcia starting over Feely after the game. He said he didn't know yet.

Looking at last year stats... with McNabb playing up until week10... I looked at the other guys FBG scoring averages before and after week10...Westbrook: with McNabb: 14.3 - without McNabb: 12.3Brown: with McNabb: 3.1 - without McNabb: 7.7Smith: with McNabb: 6.6 - without McNabb: 3.8Stallworth: not applicable...Obvsiouly, this is not the same scenario, it is a very small sample size and you are talking about young WRs/TEs (especially Brown last year) that were coming along... but it can serve as a benchmark...

I think when a QB has to come in mid-season cold, they likely count on the TE as a dump off/safety valve (same as RB, especially one like Westbrook) so I see LJ and Westbrook getting big bumps, and the WR's being shantied.

In a related note I saw Borat last night and am still sore from laughing.

It kills them all.
You think so? I'm not so sure. I think that Garcia can keep defenses honest.:LJownerhopingforbest:
Tenn is 32nd out of 32 teams in defense and they were at Philly. This is the easiest possible game Garcia could have had. He threw nearly 50 passes and got less than 200 yards. He absolutley kills Stallworths value, LJ may not be impacted that much because they will probably dump it off more.

Unless defenses shadow West and force him to go elsewhere. And when Garia is in long down situations, he'll have to throw the ball down the field.A lot less TDs now for sure.
