Theres only one ball. Moss, Rice, Harvin, Shaincoe arent all going to be studs. I suppose you are right. Drop them all.Theres only one ball. Moss, Rice, Harvin, Shaincoe arent all going to be studs. If Rice comes back at full strength I see fewer yards for Shiancoe but he is still a big red zone guy. AP sees fewer carries but more opportunity. More carries for Gerhart to keep AP fresh. Rice and Harvin will battle back and forth every week.I still see boom or bust weeks for Moss. He will burn some owners into losses. Expect threads titled "Randy Moss knocked me out of the playoffs" later on.Biggest winner is Favre. He could easily turn into Brady. Let the D decide who they want to cover and feed the open guy.Exciting times here in Minny. Not the same buzz as when Favre showed up but there should be. This is a game-changer for the Vikings' year.No they won't pass as much as the Pats. But the trade will open things up for Harvin.I guess how much Harvin benefits depends on how well Moss does facing constant double teams. I personally don't think Moss will be monster in Minnesota at all. He hasn't been beating heavy coverage in NE this year and I don't think he will in Minnesota either.Look at this week for example.Moss gets put on Revis Island now for sure. Harvin does from getting Revis on him to being an afterthough in the Jets defensive plans. He probably will work a lot in the slot and will see a lot more space. Now the question is whether Favre will take the open passes to Harvin and Shincoe or force it into heavy coverage of Moss. Knowing Favre he might force it at first but then realize other things are working better.I put the over/under of Favre throwing his first pick on a pass to moss at 21/2 quarters.I dont see the harvin-welker comparisons. Pats use welker as their "running game". Vikings have arguably the best back in football.
I haven't stopped smiling all day.I'm curious how owners who own BOTH Harvin and Moss feel about this trade.

The little hope some held for Camarillo just went out the door.Is Camillo still worthless or does he get worked in enough to have value?
Yep. I was prepared to bench Harvin this week since I figured he'd be trapped on Revis Island, but now I'll have to reconsider. At the very least, this week Revis on Moss should = lots of Harvin.
The addition of Moss is great news for all offensive Vikes. Absolutely.First off, Moss will clearly help Favre. He brings a whole new dimension to the offense and defenses will have to game plan for him. And with Moss there, this absolutely helps Harvin. It will be just like last year with Rice being the deep threat to stretch the field and Harvin grabbing all the over the middle stuff and sidelines plays. Maybe even better than with Rice because Moss strikes fear into most defensive players. Same goes for Shiancoe, who Favre already has a clear rapport with. But the biggest beneficiary of Moss arriving has to be Peterson. Now, the field opens up more for him and gives him more of those cut back lanes he hasn't had yet. And Peterson can take any one of those cut backs to the house at any time!Good news for all Vikes in my opinion.
Right on. Harvin is not a WR1 and is hardly a WR2 at this stage of his development. Harvin is best suited to play out of the slot and with Moss in town the Vikes can actually effectively put him there. Moss will warrant double coverage on the outside, Berrian/Rice will work the other outside and Harvin will work the slot vs. either S's or LB's. This is the best thing that could have possibly happened to Harvin. This is the best thing that could have possibly happened to the entire Vikes offense and team.Rice is in a contract year, Vikes may let him walk.I hope this help out Harvin. He appears to be rounding into form, problem is long term he's now the third best receiver instead of the second best. So while I like him this season, because of Rice's status, his long term value is muted by this move (assuming they lock Moss up).
So you'd start both of them each week?I haven't stopped smiling all day.I'm curious how owners who own BOTH Harvin and Moss feel about this trade.![]()
I can start as many as 5 WRs in my league so it's different than traditional ones. I'd give very strong consideration to Harvin in PPR formats this week. I think he could be very busy underneath. Moss is Moss. I'd never sit him even against Revis. But that's just my personal approach as a Moss owner. So you'd start both of them each week?I haven't stopped smiling all day.I'm curious how owners who own BOTH Harvin and Moss feel about this trade.![]()
I briefly thought about doing this but with my luck AP would get 3 TDs Monday...So you'd start both of them each week?I haven't stopped smiling all day.I'm curious how owners who own BOTH Harvin and Moss feel about this trade.![]()
Yeah, that's exactly my concern. With Manning and Brady having pretty weak running games, I'd be comfortable starting two WR's from the same team each week. Not so with Favre who has one of the best RB's in the league.I'll just have to figure out who I can deal for the best value and go from there. The good thing is that both Harvin and Moss gets a boost in perceived value at least because of the trade.I briefly thought about doing this but with my luck AP would get 3 TDs Monday...So you'd start both of them each week?I haven't stopped smiling all day.I'm curious how owners who own BOTH Harvin and Moss feel about this trade.![]()
