Just curious how "normal" my league is this days...
What's your TD points and passing yard points? My main league's yardage scoring goes like this:0-49 yds = 0 pts50-74 yds = 3 pts75-99 yds = 4 pts100-149 yds = 5 pts150-199 yds = 8 pts200-249 yds = 10 pts250-299 yds = 12 pts300+ yds = 15 ptsThis is for both rushing and receiving yards. I did not vote because our "system" doesn't fit into your options. I'm pretty sure this is a unique way of scoring yards, but the guys in my league like it this way.Rody
I'm in a similar league and love this approach. Having that threshold to cross can be maddening (if you can run for 49 yards, dude, why not just get that extra yard?!?!) but it also makes the game more challenging. You really have to know who's going to perform as opposed to stumble into some points.My main league's yardage scoring goes like this:0-49 yds = 0 pts50-74 yds = 3 pts75-99 yds = 4 pts100-149 yds = 5 pts150-199 yds = 8 pts200-249 yds = 10 pts250-299 yds = 12 pts300+ yds = 15 ptsThis is for both rushing and receiving yards. Should have mentioned that those yardage parameters were just for RB's and WR's....we have separate yardage scoring for TE's to increase their value...see below:TD's across the board for QB, RB, WR, TE, K & D/ST:1-9 yds = 6 pts10-29 yds = 9 pts30-39 yds = 12 pts40+ yds = 15 pts D/ST - KO returns and Punt returns:50+ yds = 18 ptsAny offensive player scoring a KO or Punt return TD will receive 6 pts.Passing Yardage:1-199 yds = 0 pts200-249 yds = 3 pts250-299 yds = 4 pts300-349 yds = 5 pts350-399 yds = 8 pts400-449 yds = 10 pts450-499 yds = 12 pts500+ yds = 15 ptsSeparate Yardage Scoring for TE's:25-49 yds = 4 pts50-74 yds = 5 pts75-99 yds = 6 pts100-124 yds = 7 pts125-149 yds = 8 pts150-174 yds = 10 pts175-199 yds = 12 pts200+ yds = 15 ptsRodyWhat's your TD points and passing yard points?My main league's yardage scoring goes like this:0-49 yds = 0 pts50-74 yds = 3 pts75-99 yds = 4 pts100-149 yds = 5 pts150-199 yds = 8 pts200-249 yds = 10 pts250-299 yds = 12 pts300+ yds = 15 ptsThis is for both rushing and receiving yards. If it has you in it, just how "normal" can it be?Just curious how "normal" my league is this days...
So you would say that a RB rushing for 50 yards has significantly outperformed one that has rushed for 49 yards?I'm in a similar league and love this approach. Having that threshold to cross can be maddening (if you can run for 49 yards, dude, why not just get that extra yard?!?!) but it also makes the game more challenging. I would say the answer is obviously no, but that is what makes it very, very interesting some weeks. We have teams losing games because their RB didn't get that extra yard, thus missing out on 3 points which would have earned them a victory. Other teams win because their opponents player failed to cross that threshold. As I posted before, it's not perfect, but the guys in my league like it this way. We like that our scoring isn't perfect. I like being in various leagues with various scoring parameters. If all leagues were exactly the same this game wouldn't be as much fun.RodyGodsbrother said:So you would say that a RB rushing for 50 yards has significantly outperformed one that has rushed for 49 yards?Cooley said:I'm in a similar league and love this approach. Yes, you can have decimal scoring with CBS Sportsline. Our league went to decimal scoring last year and we use CBS.Paul Brown said:Commish ? does CBS provide decimal scoring as an option now?
I don't like plateaus to hit for scoring so I love decimal scoring. It also makes it so that every yard matters so every yard is .1 pointsEvilgrin 72 said:Just curious how "normal" my league is this days...
CBS has provided decimal scoring for a long time.Yes, you can have decimal scoring with CBS Sportsline. Our league went to decimal scoring last year and we use CBS.Paul Brown said:Commish ? does CBS provide decimal scoring as an option now?
