How early is it OK to cut the grass on a Saturday morning (gas-powered lawn mower)? (1 Viewer)

What say ye?

  • Cut it as early as you want, it's your lawn and your neighbours would be more productive if they did

I'm pretty tolerant about stuff like that. But sound system till 4 am? Yea, that would be a call to the cops.
the last time my neighbor stayed up playing music loud enough for us to hear until 4am, I went directly to the cop the next day.  That neighbor is the cop, but we had a decent short conversation and he's been great since.  Actually having his police car parked next to our house most nights is worth any noise he might make.

I don't mow before 9a, but I wouldn't care if the neighbor mowed at 7a since I'm awake by then anyway.

Is it a massive pain in the ### to use?  I'm thinking of getting one of these.
Okay, bought one and using it regularly.

This is a hell of a workout.  Maybe it's that my grass gets long quickly, or just the size of my lawn, or the fact that it's nearly 100 degrees and Louisiana, but it really takes it out of me to use this thing.

Doesn't cutting early cause issues with dew? I always figured that mowing wet grass causes it to clump and get stuck in the bag.

I like to mow in the afternoon because I get the best shade on the larger portion of my yard then.
