How long should a rookie draft be? (2 Viewers)

I'm converting my league this year to a dynasty league with IDPs. We're going to do a Veteran Free Agent Auction throughout the Spring/Summer and then a Rookie draft. I'm trying to figure out how many rounds I should have for a 16 team Rookie Draft. Any input would be appreciated.

We run 53 man rosters with a 8 man practice squad. Our rookie draft is 10 rounds for our 12 team league. It is an IDP league including punters

My 16 team IDP league (40 active, 15 DTS) has an 8 round draft which I think is at least 1 if no 2 too many.

For my 12 team IDP leagues I think 6 or 7 is about right (depends a little on DTS size too).

That said, 8 rounds seems to be the standard with DTS size from 10-15 players

I would cap it at 5 or 6. By the 5th and 6th round guys are drafting incredibly deep random sleepers.

What's DTS?
