Just curious.

Mine is a state university in Midwestern state (MAC Conference), top 100 in size, around 17K undergraduates at the main campus and close to 30K at all sites.

Currently we have 281 cases. No football this fall.

If you didn’t attend a 4-year college, pick the one you root for or maybe is closest to you geographically.

TIA

Unfortunately, the numbers are understated at many of these colleges as there are kids who know they are sick and either they aren’t getting tested, or they are getting tested at off campus locations and not reporting the results to the school.  This is because they (1) don’t want to get in trouble; (2) don’t want to have to report who they’ve been in contact with for contact tracing and further quarantine; and (3) they don’t want to contribute to the reason that the school gets shut down. My guess is whatever the number the school reports, it’s likely 2-3 times that.

At the U (Miami):

>> Students who will be on the Coral Gables or Marine campuses at any point during the remainder of the fall semester will be required to take a COVID-19 test every two weeks through the UScreen Testing Initiative.

The move comes as UM reported a 3.6% positivity rate in COVID-19 cases as of Thursday and 10 new cases among students (four of whom are residential) and two faculty members on Wednesday, according to UM’s dashboard.

These numbers inched up a case a day since Sept. 6. The positivity rate has fluctuated on a day-to-day basis but was trending down in the latest report.

UM has reported 297 positive cases since launching its daily dashboard on Aug. 16.<<

They played a football game on Thursday night. Attendance was announced at 8,000 but maybe fewer attended.

My smaller private university (near-west suburb of Chicago) has a Covid dashboard that tracks all the details.  We also use a Campus Clear app where we can check in each day.  So far, we've had about 4-5 student cases out of a student population of about 3,500.  I've been impressed with their diligence in getting things set up on campus.  They did transition more of the courses to online.  For face-to-face courses, classroom capacity was cut in half so a classroom that can hold 40 doesn't have more than 20 in it.  Residency is all single rooms.  Our D-III sports are all pushed back to spring.

My alma mater (East Carolina University) had over 1,084 students test positive between August 9th and September 5th. They have moved classes online for the rest of the Fall semester.  Things such as this helped spread the virus:

Mass gatherings, including parties put on by fraternities and sororities, have fueled some coronavirus spread nationwide. Police shut down several parties during ECU’s opening weekend, including one with about 400 attendees.
ECU's first three football games have been postponed.

I went to George Washington University. I can't find number of cases, but online classes only this fall and only limited students allowed to stay on campus where special circumstances.

No football this fall either.  No football since 1966, but still....
