his injuries have been freakish of nature. I think this is the year he stays healthy and they win around 9 gamesqb will be hurt to much to do better than 8
People actually have to watch football to actually understand this.his injuries have been freakish of nature. I think this is the year he stays healthy and they win around 9 gamesqb will be hurt to much to do better than 8
They may be freakish, but i am more concerned about Stafford getting tackled shoulder first than most QB's. However, i dont think his "injury proness" is much worse, if at all than most QB's. I think Rodgers is more likely to get hurt than Stafford, but people dont mention that when making predictions for the Packers.Knock on wood......for both players.People actually have to watch football to actually understand this.his injuries have been freakish of nature. You think that they are going to sweep Chicago??? That won't happen until Detroit decides to protect their investments on offense...the OL. Plus they have arguably the worst back 7 defenses in the NFL. The Lions are moving in the right direction, just not there yet to say they sweep the division leader from last season. The schedule doesn't look too daunting:
Sunday, September 11 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers L
Sunday, September 18 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS W
Sunday, September 25 at Minnesota Vikings W
Sunday, October 2 at Dallas Cowboys FOX L
Monday, October 10 CHICAGO BEARS FOX W
Sunday, October 16 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS W
Sunday, October 23 ATLANTA FALCONS L
Sunday, October 30 at Denver Broncos W
Sunday, November 6 *** BYE WEEK ***
Sunday, November 13 at Chicago Bears W
Sunday, November 20 CAROLINA PANTHERS W
Thursday, November 24 GREEN BAY PACKERS L
Sunday, December 4 at New Orleans Saints L
Sunday, December 11 MINNESOTA VIKINGS W
Sunday, December 18 at Oakland Raiders L
Saturday, December 24 SAN DIEGO CHARGERS L
Sunday, January 1 at Green Bay Packers L
That's a rough final six games. 8-8.
That is what I was going to post. I don't see them going 4-2 in the division. I would guess 3-3 tops, with at least one loss to Chicago and one loss to GB, as mandatory. While the Vikes don't look good at QB now, I don't think they fall below (or really much higher) than 6 wins, and DET could easily be one of those wins. I have no problem with the other projections, but I don't see more than 7 wins from this team. I really don't see less though, either. You think that they are going to sweep Chicago??? While everyone is excited about all these shiny new toys Detroit got in the draft, here are the problems:-Fairley, Young, LeShoure have no work with the organization and it will take them longer to be productive NFL players than usual rookies(which generally take a long time in the first place)That is what I was going to post. I think they win 7 of those, maybe only 6. I doubt they sweep both chicago and minn. Also, you have them beating the chiefs. I think that game can go either way, especially if the Chiefs of 2010 show up. If the Lions Defensive front can improve, they could stir up a lot of problems for weak oline teams. The game against the bolts is a late season game that they could cause problems in and win a shocker at home. The schedule doesn't look too daunting:

Dline is unstoppable??? Lets settle down here a bit. -Yes Suh is great. -Nick Fairley fell in the draft for a reason. He had 1 season on good production in college. He also is missing valuable time to be coached up and may hold out if/when the strike is up.-Vanden Bosch was a flop....4 sacks in 12 games, that equals 5 or 6 in a 16 game season. He is 32 years old already and only has 3 seasons in his 9 year career of 5 sacks or more.-Cliff Avril, Turk McBride, Lawrence Jackson all had between 5 to 8.5 sacks for the season which is good...but hardly forming an unstoppable Dline. Can we wait to see what happens with one of the biggest parts in football....FREE AGENCY?Without that happening yet, you cannot even begin to assume what will happen. What if they get Nnamdi, how would all the guys who picked 7 games feel?Cuz if they get Nnamdi and a decent LB in the offseason, I'm callin Superbowl or bust!I look for a 9 win season without Nnamdi, as they will get some free agent upgrades on defense with the back 7 and on the OLine as thats thier only worries.I'LL GO ON RECORD>>>>>>> AFTER NEXT YEARS DRAFT, WE WILL NO LONGER DISCUSSING THE LIONS FUTILITY!They are primed to be a great team, yes I said it. The offensive skill positions are loaded, the Dline is unstoppable if they had only Suh all by himself, but they went and got him a young good solid DLman. If they get a good corner and LB, uh oh, look out!
