Some interesting stats in an article by Cleveland's Terry Pluto. He makes a case for the Browns to take RB Trent Richardson and QB Brandon Weeden, in so doing he compares the shelf life of NFL QBs and finds some interesting stuff.

Pluto didn't take his findings any further but I would guess that teams who have had stable long-term starters have the highest winning percentages over the rest of the league.... How many teams even have the same starting quarterback for five years?
Sorting through the list of the NFL's top-10 quarterbacks in 2011, seven of 10 have been with the same team for at least five years.
But only three (Tom Brady, Eli Manning and Roethlisberger) have been starting for their current teams for at least eight years.
A little more research: Of the quarterbacks ranked 11 through 20, only one (Philip Rivers) has started for his current team for at least five years.
So, of the top-20 quarterbacks, eight have been starters with their current teams for at least five years.
