How many RB's have had 1000 yard seasons (1 Viewer)

Has there ever been one? It's not usual for 1000 yard rushers to bounce from team to team to team.

I bring this up because Travis Henry is likely to join that club...will he be the charter member?

Ricky Watters is indeed a member of the club. Anyone else?

There is no one else in the top 50 all time rushers.

I was going to suggest Herschel Walker...but I was shocked to find that he never broke 1000 yards in Minnesota (he did in Dallas and Philly). Man, if you're going to do a trade that gives up your future and hands another team 3 titles, at least ride the guy you got from it.

Can we include his 2411 yards for the New Jersey Generals (USFL) in 1985 to get him into the club?

Most players that run that well don't make it to three different teams...Dickerson did it after being traded twice, but the second time he was traded, it was back to his first team... not sure if that counts...

Hearst fell 153 yards short in Cin, but only played in 14 games, so he could have done it....

Dickerson never played for any team twice. He went from STL LA to IND to OAK to ATL.

Some guy named Earnest Jackson almost did it in 3 straight seasons:

| 1984 sdg | 16 | 296 1179 4.0 8

| 1985 phi | 16 | 282 1028 3.6 5

| 1986 pit | 13 | 216 910 4.2 5

Sorry, just went by pro-football-reference.com, and misread the 1987 season, where he was traded...

For 2007: Henry may in DEN, Droughns may in NYG.

2006: Ricky Williams had a chance, but failed to get 1000 yards for Toronto.

67 RBs have rushed for 1,000 yards in three different seasons. 22 of those have rushed for 1,000 yards with two different teams. One of those -- Watters -- has done it with three different teams.

Any current ones besides Henry and Droughns?

If you give credit for total yards, Herschel Walker. If you don't, he came pretty damn close (175 yards).

88 Dallas: rush 1514, rec 505, tot 2019

91 Vikes: rush 825, rec 204, tot 1029

92 Eagles: rush 1070, rec 278, tot 1348

Travis Henry has got a nice shot at it.

02 Bills: 1438

03 Bills: 1356

06 Titans: 1211

Portis, Corey Dillon if he doesn't retire
Don't forget Edge.
  Is everyone missing the point of this thread???
LOL.The most likely to make it this year:

1. Travis Henry (Denver's #1 back)

2. Corey Dillon (if he signs with someone, I'd give him a chance)

3. Reuben Droughns (would need Jacobs to get injured)

4. Clinton Portis (does Wash trade him? Doubtful but he'd be a lock if he does get dealt)

5. Warrick Dunn (not even on the trade block...so this is a long shot)

Gotta put the odds on Henry at better than even money. Dillon is a 10-1 shot. Droughns somewhere in the 15 to 1. Portis 20 to 1. Dunn 100 to 1.
