Johnson who has been top 5 since taking over for Holmes. Finally I have Harrison who is top 5, but I'm not sure exactly what position.God I love keeper leagues, I traded for draft picks over the years and all of these guys have been mine since they were rookies except LJ who was on the WW middle of last year when I picked him up.

QB-none now (had mcnabb)RB- LT, Westbrook (T Jones not far behind if not for missed game)WR- none (had T.O)K- BrownDef- BearsHave carried me to 8-4, started 5-0 struggled since Owens and McNabb went out, but still have scored most total points for the year and McNabb still has high QB score for the year in one week which will pay dividends at the end with 10% of the waiver pool coming my way....also hold about 45 or 50 % of the waiver pool right now which is over 200 currently, at one point had 90% of it with Highest scores overall in a week, overall for year, high at every position, all i didn't have was 2nd in scoring for the year. Still shaping up nicely though, about to go to positive money for the year

Bold denotes my starters. Somehow I've managed to go 8-4 and I'm currently in 2nd place in my 12-team league with this roster. I've had the benefit of an easy H2H schedule and playing the right match-ups each week. I've started 7 different players at QB this year. FWIW, I'm like 6th or 7th in points scored in the entire league.

In one keeper league, my entire lineup, except for kicker:QB: PalmerRB: LT2, SJaxWR: C Johnson, S MossTE: GatesDef: Indy(Third place, struggling to make the playoffs. I hate this hobby.)

My league by PPG with a reasonable amount of games played (or else Fitzp would be the #1 QB)QB: Just miss with Eli at #6RB: LT (1)WR: If you take out Owens who won't play anymore and D Jackson who has only 4 games, I have Smith (2), Boldin (5) and S Moss just missing at #6Def: Bears (1)

Start 3 wrs, mine are Chad Johnson, Santana Moss and Torry Holt. My rb is LJ, so while he isn't technically top five for the season, he's been top five since starting.

10 Team League:QB - Not in Top 5 (Brooks - 14)RB - LT2 (1), Tiki Barber (6, 1.5 points out of 5th)WR - Not in Top 5 (Driver 9th)TE - Shockey (2)K - Tynes (3)D - Panthers (4) and Jags (5)Note that the #5 QB has 190 points, and Brooks has 176. I can live with 1 less point a week.

QB: Peyton Manning (#2), Kerry Collins (#5)RB: LT (#1), Edge (#4), Tiki (#5)WR: Harrision (#7)TE: Gonzo (#5)K: Vanderjagt (#7)D: Car (#5), Pit (#7)Pretty much my entire starting lineup is in the top 5. :P

Keeper League: (starting roster - 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def)QB - Palmer (1st)WR - S Smith (1st)RB - E James (3rd)TE - NA (have Gonzo traded Miller who is tied for 4th)K - J Elam (tied for 5th)Def - Panthers (2nd)I am the league high scorer, but still in third place!Dynasty League: (starting roster - 2 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 2 K, 2 Def, 1 Flex)QB - Manning (2nd)RB - Tomlinson (2nd)WR - NATE - Shockey (3rd) and Witten (5th) - play a lot of two TE sets! :D K - Kasay (5th)Def - NAIn first place, first in points, two games on everyone else.

How many top 5 players in FF scoring, according to YOUR league scoring, do you have in your weekly starting lineup? The meat of my lineup are these guys:

QB: Palmer (1st in QB pts)

RB: Alexander (1st in RB pts, tied with LT)

WR: C Johnson (2nd in WR pts)

PK: Rackers (1st in PK pts)

Not a bad nucleus.

DEF and TE are near misses. Carolina is 3 points away from top 5, and Witten is 8 points away from being top 5. No one else in my league is that clsoe to having a top 5 starter at each position.
I have :LT / 1st

S. Smith / 1st

L. Fitz / 2nd

Giants D / 3rd

in my SL, mandatory 3 wr's per week

This thread just reminds me of how inconsistent my team has been this year. 10 teamer, start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, D. PPR League.QB - Brady (3) Collins (5)RB - Alexander (2) Westbrook (5)WR - Smith (1) C. Johnson (3)TE - NoneK - Rackers (1)D - Carolina (5)How can the only position wher I don't have a top 5 player be TE & WR3, and my team is only 6-6. I am the leader in points, by far, but I also have by far the most points scored against me, and it always seems when I play the bad teams my team chooses to go off.

Is anyone going through and reading all these?

I'm honestly curious as to what you guys are getting at here...
I'm reading them. I find it helps give a little perspective as to how different owners with some great players can still be killed by luck, or how many studs are needed in some stables in order to dominate. I wonder to myself sometimes how these others' teams got to be who they are. That sort of mental dissecting of this group of samples provided can become good excercise for ones own future natural thinking processes. There's so many ways to use different types of statistics for overall analytical awareness. Game/season stats just don't always provide the whole feel. Sometimes you just need to think outside the box and observe different views of what seems to work or not. You don't get perspective like this from anywhere else other than a forum like this, except in the small samplings you find in your own league(s). Different leagues play out different ways, so having a view into more owners can't hurt anything.

Sure it may not do anything for you. It may even bore you or irratate you. Different strokes. A change of pace for some. You decide what is of use to you and how much time you want to spend looking at different things. It this does nothing for you (you certainly wouldn't be alone), you can easily ignore it.

And this is why I personally put my first team in my sig for those few who like a little look into how I've managed my own team after they've read a small tidbit of my input. If I happen to be winning yet again, as I usually am, then perhaps I get a chance to show off to someone who like me likes to observe it. And I think that's mostly what this is about for most... showing off that they have made good choices. If we couldn't brag about our teams, then how would we know any of us backup our knowledge we are sharing as truly worthwhile?

You can disagree with any of this if you want, but it's still all good in my book.

Don't get defensive...was a genuine question. I appreciate the rest of the answer...at least gave me a little perspective into it.

Oops, I see I misspelled irritate. Anyway, that wasn't directed at you Keys. Note that I was careful to use words like it "may" and "if", knowing that what I'm saying "may" apply to the feelings of some here. I offer that because I've read the threads where some say that the quality of the board is down because they see things about people's own teams in threads. I find that aspect of the discussions quite harmless myself. In fact, I actually would rather know that I'm hearing from people who are owners of the players because they often relate how it directly impacts them better and it's likely they could know what's going on right now with a player better when they own them.

Well, here are my two teams, both are 9-3:Ten team league:

QB: Kerry Collins (5th in our league)

RB: LT (1st), Larry Johnson (he's 7th, but deserves mention)

WR: Torry Holt (4th)

Twelve team league:

RB: Edge (3rd)

WR: Chad Johnson (2nd), Larry Fitzgerald (3rd)

K: Shayne Graham (4th)

I get a kick out of seeing some of the badass lineups a lot of you guys have put together. I get a little jealous, too. Anyhow, I agree with Sick Thing. Things like this may annoy people who just want to get updates on players and could give two ####s about other people's team, but for others, threads like this are a nice change of pace.I'll freely admit that I posted here but did not sift through every post in the thread. However, I did glance at quite a few of them, and am fairly impressed. Anyway, it's nice to have a thread where we can gloat about our teams because it's something most of us have put a lot of time into and for the most parts our efforts go entirely unappreciated.

QB: Kerry Collins (5th in our league)
Seeing this brings up in my mind what else I'm getting out of this thread... the real difference in positions with different scoring systems. In the league where I have Collins, he is #10 (and Hasselbeck is #13). Not exactly what I hoped for in the draft. In that 10 team redraft league (I only listed my other one earlier), I'm 7-5 with the second highest points and on the verge of a playoff spot with these top fives:

RB: LT (1)

WR: Holt (6, but just 1 pt from 5 and back to health)

TE: Witten (7, but only 3 pts from 5)

PK: Graham (4)

DT: Colts (3)

I've needed to do a lot more FA work in this one. Hopefully guys like Warner can be top fives or close the rest of the way.

14 team 5th year keeper league, you can keep 5 1QB,1RB,1WR,1PK/DT, 1 FlexQB Manning (2)RB Jordan (4)TE Witten (5)PK Graham (4)DT Giants (5)On the bubble... LJ (6) and Marvin Harrison (7).. If TO played all year I would have been unstoppable. As it is I am only 8-4 now and still hoping to win division.. I will be a wild card team at least..
