How much did solid QB play help you today? (1 Viewer)

Romo, Brees, Flacco, and Hasselbeck so far...we like to pretend in here that we can glide by with whatever at QB, and I am sure people will point to today and say look how many good QBs were just kinda blah...although some big time QBs have yet to take a snap but still I want to hear from the board what their impressions were at QB today and did one of these guys on a week where scoring was kinda all over the place, did any of these guys propel you to a win possibly?

Nope.

I had good QB play from my guys, but had terrible WR/TE play - Steve Smith, Eddie Royal, Dallas Clark to name a few - that made up for starting guys like McNabb & Hasselbeck with the Seahawks defense.

I think the generally decent QB play from the mid-tiers is masked some by some of the brutal stat lines - I'm looking at you, Jake.

Romo is the only reason I have an outside shot at 1-1. SJax, Ronnie Brown, Steve Smith, Indy Gonzo, Shayne Graham....so much fail.

At least the Bills didn't lose!

I rolled w/ "dirty" mark sanchez & was very pleased w/ his production. Wasn't expeting much, was just hoping he didn't crash & burn. I was very impressed with how well he handled himself today.

Not sure I understand your premise here. Flacco and Hasselbeck are both guys that were likely targets of the "glide by with whatever at QB" crowd. Week one looks like an argument in favor of that plan.

Got less than 20 points from my 2 QBs combined (started Palmer, Garrard sat)... will be starting 2-0 and could be the #1 scoring team if LT2 goes off for 30+. Left alot of points on my bench by starting C. Henry over Bowe/Cooley too.

For my two teams, Brady Quinn was my high scorer at QB. This despite having Rodgers, Palmer, Schaub, Stafford, and Eli Manning.

No, I don't think solid is the word I'd use.

Won two leagues w/ Cutler.

QBs are overrated/meaningless and an afterthought for me.

Full disclosure: I didn't play against any of the QBs who had stellar weeks.

Huge for me. Our league has crazy QB scoring (6pts pass TD, 1 point per 15 yards passing). Thanks to the advice on these forums, I grabbed Brees in the second round (2.02) after taking LT in the first. Usually, I am one to wait on taking a QB, but was given great advice by others here that it would be a must to have either Brady or Brees with this scoring system. Brees scored 57 points for me in my league!

Ditto brotha I took Brees at 2.02 after taking Gore in the first. QB scoring (6pts pass TD, 1 point per 20yards passing for me.

Solid QB play was what my squad was lacking today...

...until the last 1:18 of the GB/CHI game.

Actually wouldn't call Rogers solid, but would call him unbelievably clutch. Definitely pulled my team out of the fire this weekend.
