How productive will Westbrook be? (1 Viewer)

Thinking that perhaps there are better plays this week even though you want sooooooo badly to play your stud :hophead:

Will he be the goal line guy, or will Buckhalter come in?

Nine (9) carries for 35 yards and .4 TD with 4 receptions for 32 yards and .2 TD doesn't get me too fired up

Is this realistic, is he working his way back, or will we see the real Westbrook this week? I think I've already answered my own question in hoping for more.

Now 15 carries for 75 yards and a 50/50 TD ratio with another 50/50 for receiving would be something to hope for, otherwise I gotta start someone else along with Gore. The shark move is most likely start another that is projected for much more if you have him for one more week. I'm tossed on this one?

Pondering :goodposting: Perhaps we'll here something more this morning.

I think Westy will play against the Skins. The big question though is how he will perform with an ankle that is NOT 100%. A healthy Westy has KILLED the Skins in the past but he's not exactly healthy for week 5. My feeling is Westy starts the game but the Eagles limit his carries. I'd say 10 to 13 carries for 40 to 50 yards, 3 catches for 20 yards and a possible TD. And yes I'm a Westbrook owner probably benching him in favor of Jonathan Stewart and Chris Johnson. I'd rather start two healthy RB's rather than one that's not 100%. Who knows, this may be a typical Westy game against the Skins though and he goes off for 160+ total yards and two TDs. I just hope he does not do further damage to his ankle playing today.

I always wonder in these situations who the player(s) is that is the cutoff to playing Westbrook or not.

For example, I'd say Stewart is safely above the cutoff, and Johnson likely is as well. Of course, your matchup might alter who you play slightly.

situational player and decoy at times....the team will probably just see how the game is going and if it looks like they wont need him to stay competitive they will lean on c buck...imo of course

I agree. I'm thinking this situational mindset might be dictated by how the game goes but realistically I don't think the Eagles are running away with this one. In other words, the temptation will be too hard to resist not to go to Westbrook in what should be a tight game, unless C Buck goes off. There's 2 weeks off to rest up after this game.

agree w/ this. worst case Westy as a PT player and FT decoy (i.e. he isn't 90% healthy yet) - this will force the opposing DC to gameplan and call defenses designed to deal w/ him. even if he only gets 10-15 touches, this alone will help PHI offensively drawing coverages, etc.
