How serious is Witten's injury? (1 Viewer)

If his broken rib is going to hinder him the rest of the season, Should I cut bait?. An owner in my league dropped TO this week and he'll be available for blind bidding next week. I figure that if Witten can't function up to his old level, TO might be more valuable now. But to try and pick him up Tuesday, I'd have to cut Witten before this weeks games in order to clear enough salary cap space. I have A Bryant, E. Royal, Matt Jones, Camarillo and Kevin Curtis as my other WR/TEs. If I miss on TO, I can try and get Witten back the following week. Not worth it or give it a shot?

If you can def. get Witten back, I say go for it. But in reality, if Witten can play through this injury he'll finish with the best numbers on that team, he has them so far. Don't go by name value, T.O has a boatload of it. Look at the numbers, even with a healthy Romo he wasn't producing. The reason I'm posting on this topic is because I own Witten and T.O in 2 out of 3 leagues, I would get rid of T.O before I got rid of Witten.

Also, ones a warrior... the other is a diva.

I don't know man, I don't think Witten is THAT big of a diva.

Westbrook had the same injury. He's a running back so he takes twice the hits Witten does. He just put up some seriously righteous numbers in his first game back. He may be out till after the bye or even one more game but he will be Witten when he comes back. He dislocated his shoulder in a game earlier this year and played the rest of the game like it never happened. A broken rib or 2 is not going to stop this guy.

To the other poster, I'm am so sick of people dissing T.O. just because he calls for the ball. Calling him a diva is B.S. You never hear a peep from him about his injuries. The guy had a couple broken fingers a few years ago that caused him to drop alot of balls. But he never used it as an excuse. He is tough as well and I'd take him over any receiver in this league.

Amen. And this is coming from a guy who hates TO. Call TO what you will, but he is a gamer. My only question is - will he cry more than Irvin at his inauguration?

a guy in your league dropped TO! what a ####ing doosh! seriously, how do you drop TO? i cant believe how flighty some people are.

Witten will be alright. he'a tough guy.

hopefully sarcasm lol, but i was referring to T.O being the diva.

Sometimes the best move is no move at all.

I'd hold onto Witten and stand pat if I were you.

By the time he comes back after the bye he'll be fine. Not entirely healed, but fine performance-wise.
