Hi All,
I really had no idea where to put this post...
But I'm looking at starting up a Dynasty Salary Cap league that begins with an initial auction. The only problem is I've never run one of these leagues before and so I am looking for guidance.
Specifically, how does the league progress? I'm assuming...
Start-up Auction --> Season --> Resign Players or Drop players --> Free Agent Auction ---> Rookie Draft?
My primary questions:
- How long are the initial contracts, i.e., i get Peyton Manning for $100... how long do i get him for?
- Do contracts increase from year to year or are players locked in?
- How you do determine the options when resigning a player (1/2/3/4 years?)
- Is there an increase for resigning when a player's contract expires? (I.e., i get Peyton Manning for 1yr/$100, when i go to resign him does the price go up? And does the length of the contract affect that price?)
- Does the Salary Cap increase every year?
- How do you determine rookie salaries and contract lengths?
wow that's a lot of questions... thanks for any help any one can provide
