***Howard Stern*** (1 Viewer)

Russo was good. Too bad howard purposely stepped on ever sports reference or discussion. Pull in the big new sports talk guy, then refuse to let him bring up sports.

oh, and RIP Farrell. Doesn't really make sense to keep him on the channel.

Another odd moment today: Promoting Savanah's CD??????

5 years ago they woulda brought her in and made fun of that crappy CD. Today, they treated her like a legit guest. "Thanks for coming in, everyone go out and by the CD"

Are you kidding me?

Broken record, but the lack of guest bookings is the biggest gaping hole created by the Sirius jump. Maybe Stern would be a little more patient and a little less anxious to get the #### out of dodge if they could actually fill a show a little better.

Why? MadDog has his own channel.

got my ticket for Levy-Bonaduce. $25 for gen admission is kind of a rip, but the place is like 5 mins from my house, so I figured what the hell.
Bonaduce really did kill Levy. Not sure if Levy even got a punch in.Met Artie, Bob and Bonaduce at the afterparty, and Sal, HPE, Double A, Irish John and the guy who won the Cindy Margolis date at the fight. He said that the date was pretty weak and she wasn't into it at all (surprisingly.)

Chevy Chase live on the Howard Stern Show? What next... Imus co-hosting with Howard? :bag:
?? They reconciled like 2 years ago.
I know they reconciled two years ago - I heard the phone call when Chevy called in to thank Howard for supporting his charity.Even so, any long time listener would think it's weird hearing Chevy Chase being all friendly with Howard.Omigosh - now he has HOUSTON the porn star on?!!??? I had totally forgotten about her. Melanoma - bummer.

I'm more interested in what ever happened to that kid (Brad?) she took to the prom.

Why does Howard keep insisting that playing chess online is the answer to Artie's battle with his weight, drugs and alcohol? Man, that absolutely drives me insane.

Definately over the top with it today. Chess won't solve everything Howard! You either like it or you don't!
What's the point of the Mike Walker game?
I never play along with the game anymore, don't even listen. The Enquirer must be paying to have it on the air as advertisement. No way Howard keeps playing it this long without $$ coming in. All it does is remind me that they're off the next day.

I went to Caroline's comedy club on sat night to see Norm MacDonald and Stern was in the audience. The dude had a police escort... wtf?

If anybody has isolated MP3s of the Dominic song parodies and the Tracy/Grillo argument please pm me - two of my faves and I cant find them anywhere....

Anyone else feel the least bit awkward when Stern, a man worth 100's of millions and appears to have lost his interest in doing radio full time, is shilling these Klondike bars like they're going out of style? I get the fact that the show needs breaks for bathroom or what not, but do they really need him to do the gotomypc.com ads during these breaks? How much are these companies paying him?

I don't know any specifics of his deal with sirius but if it involved any stock incentives he's going to need to keep shilling. The price has dropped down to 60 cents a share.

First off...I dont think hes lost interest at all. I just think hes getting older and is at a point in his career where he has the power to take time off when he wants. I dont fault him at all. Hes been getting up at 4:30 am for what 20+ years now...give the man a break.Secondly...those companies arent paying HIM...they are paying Sirius.

I'd agree that his age and his mileage are contributing to his current workstyle, but I'll disagree about his interest. Mondays didn't sound like a drag for him the first year he was at Sirius (as opposed to now). I think the commercials are a little drag based on the premise of satellite radio being commercial-free. The existance of the ads are not a big deal, but the tone of the commericals just sounds funny / phony given his recent success.

With the replays this week, I've been trying other channels I previously never listen to, during my commute. The talk stations are CRAZY with commercials. One of the political channels this morning repeatedly had 8-10 minutes of program then 6-8 minutes of commercials. No joke. Maybe I've been on Sirius too long, but I don't remember terrestrial radio even being that bad.

So 6-8 minutes an hour during Stern are ok with me.
