the 2 major ingredients to success in the NFL are (1) physical ability and (2) having an IQ higher than a watermelon. genes play a large role in (1), and it's not surprising that at least some of the children of former NFL stars also satisfy (2).
I see Nick Montana playing QB now and had a Q-How likely is it that a son is a good NFL player because his Dad was?It seems quite likely they make it(see Chris Simms) but I mean be a good player like Winslow.
Really? Now I admittedly haven't seen more then 4-5 games in Chris Long's career so far, but what have you seen that says he is going to be at least as good as his father?

Slooooooooow down there partner. Howie is in the Hall of Fame. Let's let young Christopher make a Pro Bowl or at least have a double-digit sack season before we start putting him in the same sentence as a Hall of Famer.Yes Chris was the #2 overall pick of the 2008 draft, but he wasn't even starting the first half of this season. He was instead playing behind a solid rotational DE, but essentially a journeyman, James Hall (with Leonard Little on the other side). As long as Little is there, Long isn't even the best DE on his own team.
That said, you were ahead of the game with the Manning comment...
Sims looked far better than the competition, out of their league, at times. There were a slew of common names. Probably could have been a dozen sons in this one but Sims, Owens, etc are super common so I didn't bother checkin'
