Hunt for Cooks & AP (1 Viewer)

Redraft - PPR league I have the #1 seed and a bye for week 13.  I have Zeke waiting for the Super Bowl but I need to get there.  My RB's as of now are Hunt, Collins, Ty Mont, Stewart, & McKissic.  WR's are Tyreek, Thielen, Coleman, Watkins, Agholor, Rishard & Goodwin.  Starting lineups are 2 RB, 2 WR, Flex

Would you trade Hunt for Cooks and AP?  That would give me starters for Collins & AP at RB (monty if he gets healthy) and WR's as Cooks & Thielen.  Flex becomes matchup of Hill, Coleman, Rishard.

Thoughts?

I don't know DJ's status as I don't own any cardinal players in my leagues but if he is out the rest of the year I would go for it.   Upgrade at wr and more than likely the same production at running back.

I wouldn't, Both Hunt and AP have good schedules going forward so that's not a factor. But Cooks really isn't enough of an upgrade at WR to justify the move. Even though Hunt is no longer a shiny new toy he hasn't been doing that bad even though he is no longer putting up superstar numbers, but AP is a shell of his former self as well. I'd stay with what you have.

Right now with the way Hunt is playing I wouldn't trade him.
I don't understand this statement.  KC is playing terribly and Hunt is taking the brunt of that.  So because Hunt is doing so poorly you would not trade him away?

But if Hunt = AP the rest of the way wouldn't any upgrade at WR with Cooks be worth the move?  We do get 1 pt every 3 rushes as well.  As a comparison, over the last 5 games AP is at 25.2ppg while Hunt is at 21.2 ppg.  Cooks is averaging 29.2 ppg

(yes I I know it is a very strange scoring league)

Well, your scoring system does change things. In my league,  which is  more traditional 1 pt ppr ,the difference between the players isn't that great. and Hunt is higher scoring than AP the past 5 games The last 5 games average rounding off Cooks is at 17, (Hill who you should be using now 15), Hunt 10 pts and AP 9 pts a game. The difference I see beyond the numbers is that Hunt is much more consistent than AP. AP's San Fran game is completely outside his norm and skews his numbers while Hunt has had 1 bad game in the last 5 below 10 pts-AP has had 3 out of 5 below 10 points with a more traditional scoring system.

That is my hold up on pulling the trigger as well.  One of the things that skews the scoring in AP's favor is the 1 pt per 3 rushes.  Arizona is feeding him the ball so it allows for a higher floor.  I don't like the direction Hunt's touches are going and AP will face Tennessee, Washington, and NYG for the playoff run I care about.  Those are some games that AP should be getting fed the ball.  Hunt does play Oakland, Chargers, and Miami so he should do well also.  I am just worried about KC's terrible direction at the moment.

No for me. Hunt and the Chiefs are on a cold streak but they could heat up. I haven't followed the situation closely but isn't it possible that David Johnson comes back and puts any AP value in the crapper?

I am in a unique situation in that I have Zeke ready for when that could happen.  I believe the soonest that DJ would be back is week 16 (based on rehab reports) but most of the reports from the coaching staff (not that this is the truth) is that DJ is behind schedule and not making significant progress.  I am sure that could change but who knows.  At this time it seems like he will not return this year.
