I’m scheduled to fly from BWI to Tampa on Saturday for the Bucs Eagles game. Looks like Florence could impact my flight, and was curious what anyone with experience suggests I do.

A couple options I’ve looked at are flying out of a different airport Saturday, or flying out of Baltimore on Friday.

Some airlines already have BWI listed as a potentially impacted airport, allowing anyone with BWI flights to make changes for free. Spirit hasn’t added BWI yet, but I’m thinking even if Baltimore isn’t impacted by Florence, any flights that have to fly over the Carolinas Saturday would likely be cancelled. Am I assuming correctly? If so, for anyone following the storms path, does it look like I’d be able to fly from Baltimore to Tampa on Friday morning?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you’re good to take this flight now. Enjoy the game.

Unless you're flying Southwest.
