Not sure if this ever happened in an NFL game but I thought about it this weekend.

Lets say Team A was on their own 5 yd line and decides to pass. On the play the QB throws an INT but their is a flag down. The flag is for holding in the endzone and Team B is awarded a safety and 2 pts.

How far would team B have to return the ball to take the pts off the board (obviously assuming they did not return the INT for a TD)? Or would Team B never take the 2 pts off the board and just get the ball after the safety punt.
