I am starting Mike Sims-Walker over ___________. (1 Viewer)

Considering the train never left the station last week, I figured I'd jump on in for this week. I for one, do not know whether or not I will start him. But with Colston against the Giants, I am considering starting MSW in his place. I have a good WR corps, so I am not sure about the move, but it could be a GTD.

What say you there, fuzzy-britches?

Unless you think he is going to sleep with a hooker the night before the game again....i would love to hear who has him on their roster and is not starting him....you must have some hella good alternative choices....

Didn't want to say and it's not a WDIS thread, but I have:Colston (Giants) Jennings (Lions)Roddy White (Chicago)PPR league, redraft; drafted Jennings (2nd) and Colston (3rd), traded Grant and Big Ben for Turner and White after week 3.

He should be started every week he plays at this point.
Really? You'd start him over Welker, who plays Ten, who has given up the most FF points to WRs? Or over Burleson, who is himself coming off a hot game, with his #1 QB back AND facing Arizona, which has the worst pass defense in the NFL? Or over S Smith(Car) who is facing a TB defense that has averaged 2 TDs/game allowed to opposing WRs? Or over Sa Moss, who plays KC who has allowed their opponents #1 WR to gain an average of 128 yards & 1.2 TDs (and that's counting Louis Murphy as the #1 WR in Oak gaining only 26 yards in week 2)? I wouldn't bench MSW over what happened last week, but there are some other good WR matchups out there this week.

I have Welker, SMith (NYG) and Bowe starting right now. MSW is sitting with Desean and Cotchery. I plan on waffling until the last minute then picking the 3 guys that will score the least.

Have 4 and must choose 3 - Jennings, 85, Smith2 and MSW.

I was holding off choosing until I found out for sure last week wasn't anything serious. When I found out it was for getting laid (missed bed check), I immediately plugged him back in - for Jennings for now.

Granted, he's got a sweet matchup: Detroit has 10 DBs - 9 are new this year, another guy is in his 2nd year with the team. I'm not putting the guy I drafted as my WR1 back in until I see something positive on the field.

Right now I am starting him over Marshall. I am going back and forth, but the Broncos new O likes to spread the ball around a lot. It is a tough call, but right now I have MSW in because I think he will be out to prove something, and the Jags seem to be much better at home, and it's against the Rams.

Team 1: Burelson, MSW over Bowe and Hester

Team 2: Smith CAR, V.Jackson, MSW over Bowe, Maclin, Cribbs

Team 3: Ocho, Deshaun, MSW over Megatron and Garcon (debating Megatron)

Team 4: Missed getting him on waivers.

starting him over Royal

Let's look at it this way.

Week 1 he didn't start, got one target, they lost 14-12.

Week 2 he had one catch and two targets until late in the 3rd quarter and they were down 31-3. They started throwing to him and they scored twice, losing 31-17.

Week 3 he was the focal point of the passing game and they won 31-24.

Week 4 he was again the focal point of the passing game and they won 37-17.

Week 5 he was benched and they got shut out 41-0.

It's obvious he's the difference between a dead offense and an alive offense. No way he gets less than 9 targets, and will probably get something like 12. Now playing the bad Rams' defense, I'm guessing something like 7-100-1 for 16 fantasy points (23 PPR).

That's higher than Dodds' highest projected guy this week, Randy Moss. MSW starts against the Rams on all of my teams. The decision as to whether ____ starts over _____ concerns other WRs on my teams. MSW is simply a given.

This makes too much sense, that's why I'm nervous, lol.

This guy knows things. Get him in your line up fellas. Thanks again for the waiver pick up CP!

I'm going back and forth between S. Smith(Car) and MSW. I have MSW in right now but not sure. Smith has a very good matchup but he hasn't really had a great game yet, unlike MSW.

Not to turn this into a WDIS....BUT in spite of those stats (as juicy as they are). How would you dare plug him in over a Randy Moss, or Andre Johnson? Are they not both givens?

starting over randy, jennings and colston

oops. i mean randy jennings 85 and burleslon...

At this point, I am benching MSW for DeSean, T.J., and Hines Ward. I'll be flip flopping until game time between him and DeSean, though.

What are you even talking about? I didn't compare him to any of those players. You did.I'm gonna go start a thread about who I am playing Boldin over, see ya.

team 1: MSW, White, and Smith2 over Holmes

team 2: MSW, 85, Smith1 over Edwards and Berrian

team 3: MSW, 85, and Ward over Colston and Walter...but I might decide to go with Colston over MSW or Ward.

team 4: MSW, Ward, and ? over Megatron (who will hopefully take the place of ? by game time), Royal, Maclin, and Knox. This is a tough one with Johnson hurt -- would probably go with Maclin hoping that Jackson would be covered most often by Asomugha.

So, to answer your question, MSW is a start in all of my leagues over some pretty good WRs.

As of now I am not starting him, but that's likely to change 10 times before Sunday. I have OchoCinco, Steve Smith 1, Steve Smith 2, Megatron, MSW, Mo Mass, Manningham (blah blah blah its a dynasty league).

With other juicy matchups, I don't think this is the week he cracks my starting lineup.

I have A. Johnson, Roddy, Jennings, and MS-W. Start 3. MS-W was on the bench until I became educated about what Cincy DB's have been doing to WR 1's. Now I may bench AJ.

Well, he's playing this week (as far as anyone knows), but so are those other WRs, all who have better matchups. So to make a blanket statement like you did, you must think he's a better play than all of those WRs, as well as Smith (NYG), Fitzgerald, R Moss, Andre Johnson, Ochocinco, etc.

Nice, but not easy choices this week at the WR slot....need to pick 2: As a previous post stated, not sure I can trust Jennings, but hard not to home vs. Lions. Perhaps weather will be a factor.

Ocho Cinco vs. Hou

Jennings vs. Det

MSW vs. St.L.

Bowe @ Wash

I'm playing him along with Bowe over Bernard Berrian, Eddie Royal, and Reggie Wayne's bye week. Not much of a decision really.

At least the Rams vs. Jaguars game is a 1PM game, so if any whores were slept with I'll have time to adjust my lineup this time. :goodposting:

Need to start 3 out of Fitz, MSW, Desean, Burleson, Bowe

Right now the only locks are Fitz is in and Bowe is out

Can't find a way to leave Burleson out. Right now I am leaning towards MSW over Jackson.

Sounds like my plan every week this season. I've managed to miss out on nearly every big (or even medium) game out of my WR corps. I've got to play Smith89 with that matchup (TB), but then I've got to pick two others among Edwards, MSW and Burleson. I'll probably bench Edwards, which is not easy after seeing how central he was to the Jets red zone play on MNF. The Bills are actually among the stingiest teams against WRs, probably because they can't score or stop the run very well.

I feel ya'... Derrick Mason has been on my bench two weeks (3 & 4, when he had 2 TDs & like 190 yds receiving); in my lineup the other 3 weeks when he's had something like 7/75/0 combined.

just read the "Andre Johnson will get Stonewalled vs. Cinci" thread...

seems i could stick Sims Walker in the lineup for either Johnson or Colston now... but I can't bring myself to hit "submit lineup" after the change just yet...

Over Colston is an easy call, IMO. I own Colston & regret I didn't trade him after week 2. He just isn't gonna get enough targets to end up in the top 10, this week, or going forward. So mad at myself for not putting in a serious bid for MSW.
